I read an article on The Escapist about rape from a victim's perspective and the heavy-handedness of the word. The comments descending into anti-feminism and marginalization of trigger words. I'm appalled.

I think my awe comes from the fact that forums are moderated more than most outlets, so I assumed the mods would have something to say about some of this. But... nothing. Heads and limbs would roll if that topic were repeated here.

It could be that The Escapist forums has a laxer policy than others concerning such language that's unexpected by other people.
