Dammit how do you beat the first metal sonic boss fight? I can't dodge the move where he keeps destroying part of the roller coaster

You need to see it coming before he does it, it's pretty mean. You just have to jump over the gaps with the right timing. Count how many hits it takes before he starts doing it so you can predict it.

Yeah, and Tails can generally fly long enough so you can stay in the air until he finishes that attack.
