The Avengers was, without a doubt, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Joss Whedon was poised to bring the impossible, and he went above and beyond. Brilliant characterization, such fantastic writing and setup. If The Dark Knight raised the bar for what super hero movies are expected to be, then this one kicked it up a notch and even defines what a crossover movie should be.

Seriously I could write page long paragraphs why this movie is so great. I was cynical as all shit that it'd suffer from the whole "too many chefs in the kitchen" but holy shit. I'm blown away.
Everyone should see this movie.

I should go watch Thor and The Incredible Hulk before The Avngers comes out stateside. It definitely sounds like it's been exceeding people's expectations, from what I've read.
