If I don't like a game, and especially if I don't like the development of it I'm not going to let them have my money. Ergo, I'll still get it legally but won't let them have any of my money. The stores make about 12% profit on new games, and 100% profit on pre-owned ones. The publishers make nothing on pre-owned sales.Great, now we're getting people saying they're purposely going to pirate it/buy it used so they don't support it.
But I don't think they realize the profits go toward the same place, Sega.
Edit: Also, the Rivals were straight lines in Generations too. In fact, I think MORE goes on in the 3DS version.

Am I the only one that enjoyed the autospin? It would suck if Dimps just put you through a booster with you running into the enemy.

That's because it's from Sonic Adventure 2, which is the inarguable greatest game in the Sonic franchise.
That KINDA looks like a straight line, that NOBODY complained about.

I don't get Modern Tropical Resort's music. It's just like the original, only with a new synth I don't like and it's faster than the original. Sounds like a boost/speed shoes track. It's a kinda lazy remix.

Woah now, that's missing the point royally. It's a straight line where you're attacking a moving target who also attacks you. And if you stop, you'll probably get yourself killed. The Metal Sonic battle on the console version is a straight line too, but people aren't complaining about that because of what the player has to do. The Silver 'race' (along with the two others) on the 3DS version see you running along a path that plays itself and you only have to boost to win. Please do some thinking before you try to act like a smart arse next time. It's annoying if you're not going to try and understand the problems people have. Most of you are crying and complaining about the Silver boss being a straight line.
I'm sorry, but; What the Hell do you call this?

... I actually have said they were lazy beforeAnd the guitar is completely different and adds a mini solo. I don't understand, if this is lazy, then Modern Speed Highway, Seaside Hill, and Planet Wisp are 10x lazier.

Planet Wisp is done with different instruments, Seaside Hill mixes in Ocean Palace, but Speed Highway was pretty lazy. And the guitar is completely different and adds a mini solo. I don't understand, if this is lazy, then Modern Speed Highway, Seaside Hill, and Planet Wisp are 10x lazier.

So? The money goes toward Sega, which funds future games. Generations HD doesn't pay itself, I'm sure Colors Wii/DS payed (literally) a role to that.If I don't like a game, and especially if I don't like the development of it I'm not going to let them have my money. Also what you said about the rival battles is an utter lie and such terrible denial I can't stop laughing.

... I actually have said they were lazy beforeClassic was better though. Modern Tropical Resort just seems bleh. They didn't do much to remix it or make it particularly interesting.

Ok, tell me. What part of Metal Sonic is NOT a straight line? Or how about Shadow? Or even Silver?
Unless you're trying to tell me I'm wrong because it is in 3D.

That isn't the point, the HD rival battles actually require you to put some degree of thought into winning, whilst in the 3DS version you can more or less hold Y untill the you reach the goal with little to no consequence.Ok, tell me. I think actually buying the 3ds version would only give the wrong impression and could only do wrong for sonic's future. THey need to get the message, that we don't like dimps's take on sonic games and especially not classic gameplay, by not buying the games.Great, now we're getting people saying they're purposely going to pirate it/buy it used so they don't support it.

Tropical Resort Classic uses the remix from TGSSpeaking of remixes? Why weren't the classic versions of the modern stages in the 3DS remixed? It would've worked well like it did in the HD version. Actually that Classic Crisis City remix...
