Well if Thigolf doesn't like his camera's filming capabilities, can he at least take some pics of the more interesting parts?

It'd be good enough.

I know you guys are all eager, but remember he is doing this out of free will and is trying his best, but he =technically- doesn't have to do anything. He'll bring the news as he wants to. If he doesn't want to film, it's fine.

Trust me, pressuring a person isn't good for you or them.

@Dead Skin: Ill take some pics, but probably tomorrow.

The only Characters in the game are Sonic, Tails, Eggman (all of them Classic and Modern) and the rivals.

Weird. Nintendo released that press release saying you could bring back friends to levels and use their powers..

1. Tried multiplayer, no one was found (which is logical, its a week till the game releases) so I couldnt see the stages.

2. They are really easy. You just run forward and collect the balls that give you the boost while avoiding the spiked balls.

3. Time eater works like this: First, you play in 2D and avoid his fist, lasers and lightning arrows. After doing this a few times, you can homing attack him (the lock on appears and you press b or a) After that, you play in 3D and fly towards the boss. The fists try to keep you away, but you can dodge by pushing b and a direction on the circle pad to dash in that direction. Once you reach him, you dodge his attack one more time and home in his core again. He later creates clocks you have to dodge by flying through them and not touching the hands of it.

4. Im pretty sure now its the heroes boss.

ok so that confirms that you can't play multiplayer stages by yourself like colors.

special stages seem to be alot like heroes special stages then

and time eater seems to be more challenging in this version.

@Dead Skin: Ill take some pics, but probably tomorrow.

now that you say this how are the cutscenes. you do have to go into much detail but is it similar to the hd version. and are the rivals present in the time eater cutscene like they were in the console version.

also thanks for taking the time to explain all this to us.

He already mentioned that the

Biolizard

is fought almost exactly like he was in

SA2.

Part of tropical resort modern, right before my digital cam went off because its battery is empty. Hope you can enjoy it though, the quality is pretty bad, but still.

Holy moly, that is AWESOME blink.png Though I expected no less from Tropical Resort!

Thanks for all your info, Thigolf! I know you're getting sick of answering questions now but I have one quick one - could you confirm that the Burst Wisp is for Classic Sonic and Laser Wisp for Modern Sonic in Tropical Resort? Thanks!

Just curious, but, how long did it take you to beat the game?

Alright, so here's how everything's divided:

Silver - Sonic Rivals (Fought in Tropical Resort)

Don't kid yourself that Rivals is being represented by Silver. He's representing '06 if anything, but arguably the Rival bosses are just representing the rival matches in general this time around.

Okay to make it clear to everyone right now, the 3DS version cannot be normal gameripped like how the DS and HD games are.

Since the rom dumping scene is non-existent for the 3DS games there is no rom to extract the music data off from. no rom = no music.

But its not completely hopeless, people have found ways to "rip" (so to speak) 3ds music by using game's sound test options and recording off there and hooking up their 3DS's headphone jack to audio conversion cables onto their computers. Since Thigolf has confirmed of a sound test, Generations-3ds can be "ripped".

My point is that we may get 3DS music but only if the person has the right tools to do so and it won't be day 1 like were used to this may take up to a week to get done if the person is motivated enough. if you know somebody on youtube who is currently posting 3ds music, ask if they could do sonic generations come plublic release time.

Wanted to make sure everyone was clear on that issue, people think there getting day 1 rips when i know that won't be the case.

Well guys, Im leavin now. Gathered most of the news and hope your questions are, well, answered.

Here are some of the more important or interesting news in one post, hope you enjoy it.

*The only characters in the game are Sonic, Tails, Eggman and the rivals.

*After you beat the boss (or Green Hill in the first era) youre free to choose which zone and act of the era you wanna do first.

*After you beat the rival of an era, the boss is unlocked

*The rivals are all races like Metal Sonic in Sonic CD and take part in Casino Night, Radical Highway and Tropical Resort

*The Bosses are Big Arm, Biolizard (SA2) and Egg Emperor (Heroes)

*In the Special Stages, you collect the orbs to get the boost and chase the emerald. You have to catch him within 1:30 min.

*Classic Sonic unlocks the homing attack after the classic era, Modern Sonic unlocks the stomp after the Dreamcast era.

*You can find the electric shields from the Advance and Rush games for Classic Sonic

*The missions cost 5 Playcoins each

Level info:

*The Whale in Classic Emerald Coast destroys the path behind you kind of like the Truck in the HD Version does

*In Modern Emerald Coast, he jumps out of the water and you have to do a little quick time event to make him crash against the wall (poor guy)

*Modern Radical Highway has lots of grinding parts on the bridge

*In Water Palace Classic Sonic needs to activate the switches to make the water pumps, that shoot you up, work (could be gramatically false, sorry) The level also has a bubble maschine that creates bubbles you can jump on so you can cross holes

*The Back 2 Back remix in the Modern Level seems more funky and has more rock elements

*Classic Tropical Resort seems to be based more on the DS Version of Colors designwise, he also has the DS exclusive Red Wisp and has a Rocket Part at the end where so jump from rocket to rocket before they explode to get up

*Modern Tropical Resort is more based on the Wii Version and has the Cyan Wisp, at the end you grind on rails and you have to avoide falling meteors
