What's the avatar icon on the right?

Mollfie's actually. I was playing in 30 Second Trial mode and she was my target time to beat.

Oh. Didn't know about that mode.

I dunno if this has already been mentioned, but I just discovered that if you beat a secondary character-specific mission and then go talk to the same character out in the hub, they'll comment on the mission you just played. For example, after the giant enemy race with Knuckles, he said:

"Man, if it weren't for that giant bug I wouldn't have lost"

Very neat touch. Dunno if I'd call it an easter egg, but I never noticed it in my completionist playthrough.

However, they only say it once (although if you didn't speak to them the first time you beat the mission, the opportunity to hear it does occur again if you beat it a second time), which sucks since you need to stay sharp to catch all the quotes.

I think it was the boost actually. From what I understood he was trying to copy Modern after seeing him boost to get the red Chaos Emerald.

Not sure if this is an Easter Egg, or if any of you have done or seen this before but...

Go to the Collection Room, stand on the right of the Movie Chair and on the left of the Art Painting and hold Select down for 5 Seconds (Atleast hold "SELECT" down on PS3, hold down whatever SELECT button 360 has on the 360 version).

Then you fall into a black circle and fall, if you need a password when you reach the area, here are all of them.

He had the boost aura around him and the same sound effect, so I assume it's the boost and that he jumped because the Emerald was in the air.

Modern did use air boost to get the emerald. I think Classic attempted the air dash (homing attack if you have nothing to attack). Well that's what it looked like.

Nope. It's the Air Boost.

Here's Modern Sonic Air Boosting to grab the Chaos Emerald:

sgmodernairboost.png

In this cutscene, Classic Sonic was surprised and got excited when he saw his future self use the Air Boost because he thought it was cool.

Here's Classic Sonic trying to Air Boost:

sgclassicairboost.png

After witnessing Modern Sonic do it earlier, Classic tried to imitate his future self and tried to show off.

Notice that the aura and poses are very similar. This aura never appears when they use Homing Attack, so it has to be the Air Boost.

He learned how to use the Homing Attack during the events of Generations (by getting all the Classic Planet Wisp red rings) or at least that would make sence.

The Homing Attack is just an unlockable extra. In the ending cutscene, Classic Sonic performed the Air Boost in an attempt to copy Modern Sonic after seeing him do it in an earlier cutscene. Read my above post.

I'll vouch that visually and sound-effectually it looks like it's the air boost. But from a meta perspective it really should be the homing attack, since that's the skill that defined the first non-classic appearance of Sonic in Adventure.

Yeah, I know that he tried to do the Air Boost.

I was just curious about the Homing Attack.

Oh, my bad. It could be possible that that's how Sonic learned the homing attack, and it has been said that Classic Sonic learns it somewhere in the Dreamcast Era in SG 3DS.

It's all in the [non-American] manual.

The American version didn't even really get a manual to begin with, just a flimsy little thing that lists the controls and warranty/copyright information, and then repeats it another language.

Goodbye gaming manuals, I will miss thee.

Is there a way to find these codes inside the game itself, or is the internet/hacking the only method?

Sega are planning on releasing the codes as promotional bonuses in the near future, I believe (for example, the M&S giveaway one mentioned on the home page - which may or may not be in effect yet).

It's not possible (AFAIK) to find them in the game legitimately.

So Kyle Hebert (new voice of Big) is mentioned in the voice actor credits.

Also he's in the cast list here :

http://www.imdb.com/...ullcredits#cast

Don't look if you haven't finished the game, as the full cast of characters contains a spoiler.

So logically one would think this means dialogue has been recorded for Big.

And since it's not in the game, would it be unreasonable to assume this could be for upcoming DLC?

Begin speculation!

Could he be a character to rescue in an all new zone? (Hopefully!)

Could the Dreamcast era be getting a fishing minigame like classic's pinball? (Possibly!)

Could it just be a small cameo with very little speech, like in Colours DS? (Unlikely!)

Could the name in the credits be an error? (Doubt it!)

^To add fuel to the whole Big thing, Kyle Hebert also apparently confirmed on his Twitter (according to a post on Retro) than he recorded lines for the game. So either Big is future DLC, or he was in the game at some point and got removed.
