Because she lived there for 14 years, was brought to another dimension where she reincarnated as a princess, and lived 14 years before meeting Sonic and unbroken-future Silver again ?That's a common interpretation but why would she forget Sonic and Silver, yet remember Crisis City?

"A monster ate time, but running really fast fixes everything." Brilliant!

So why did Eggman pretend to get kidnapped twice, just to reveal himself the moment Sonic appears?Thank goodness we're back to simple and logical stories nowadays:

When Classic Eggman got kidnapped after Death Egg, I think he had no idea what was going on. That was the moment when Modern Eggman first found him up so they could work together. They hid his appearance in an attempt to make the final cutscene surprising, but failed miserably.. And then after the Egg Dragoon, Modern wasn't at all shocked by the Time Eater. He just said "oof" as he was picked up. Classic was piloting the machine because Modern had failed. So why did Eggman pretend to get kidnapped twice, just to reveal himself the moment Sonic appears?

Because one of them (the first time) wasn't the current Eggman, it was the "most excellent and efficatious Dr. Eggman of the past"

But the way Eggman told the story, he got Robotnik before he threw everyone through time. When Classic Eggman got kidnapped, I think he had no idea what was going on. Eggman was trying to fulfill his life-long dream of becoming an actor.

No. He needed his younger self to make the Time Eater even stronger and better so that they could destroy Sonic and take over the world. But the way Eggman told the story, he got Robotnik before he threw everyone through time.

Did not expect that my last post to be taken seriously. So why did Eggman pretend to get kidnapped twice, just to reveal himself the moment Sonic appears?
Because the writers knew perfectly well that the fans have come to expect that Eggman is overpowered by the Monster of the Week and wanted to surprise all the fans with a big twist where Eggman was in control all along.
It totally worked, too. I went through the game unspoilered and was surprised and delighted at the reveal.

Well, I was scrolling though the Sega Forums for a bit, and one of the Generations threads included this video, showing off a giant ring akin to the ones in Sonic 3 and Knuckles in Classic Sonic's City Escape.
Apparently, it's viewable with the treasure scanner powerup that Classic Sonic has. Scrapped feature? Or just an easter egg?

^ I think it's a glitch to be honest....
It could be, but nevertheless, it's still a pretty cool find, if you ask me.
