That's a common interpretation but why would she forget Sonic and Silver, yet remember Crisis City?

Maybe she didn't remember Crisis City until the Time Eater brought it back into existence.

Thank goodness we're back to simple and logical stories nowadays:

"A monster ate time, but running really fast fixes everything." Brilliant!

So why did Eggman pretend to get kidnapped twice, just to reveal himself the moment Sonic appears?

When Classic Eggman got kidnapped, I think he had no idea what was going on. That was the moment when Modern first found him up so they could work together. And then after the Egg Dragoon, Modern wasn't at all shocked by the Time Eater. He just said "oof" as he was picked up. Classic was piloting the machine because Modern had failed.

But the way Eggman told the story, he got Robotnik before he threw everyone through time.

One could also gauge that Robotnik was picked up later and that both Eggman's modify the Time Eater in-between the time the Egg Dragoon is defeated and the time Sonic opens the Time Gate to the final boss. It does sound like Eggman got his older self after the first boss battle, and the implied time of collecting chaos Emeralds between Egg Dragoon and the final boss Eggman and Robotnik were using their combined force to modify the machine to control the Time Eater more. One could theorize this is why in the final showdown the Time Eater is no longer clouded in Shadows (since the Time Eater stuff is under control) and they have added new parts to it, like the new set of arms.

*Bump*

Well, I was scrolling though the Sega Forums for a bit, and one of the Generations threads included this video, showing off a giant ring akin to the ones in Sonic 3 and Knuckles in Classic Sonic's City Escape. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=HHJl26KoJZQ

Apparently, it's viewable with the treasure scanner powerup that Classic Sonic has. Scrapped feature? Or just an easter egg?

^ I think it's a glitch to be honest....

It could be, but nevertheless, it's still a pretty cool find, if you ask me.

Apparently It's just a ring closer to the camera, which is why it isn't collectable.

But why would the treasure scanner beep by a ring? Haven't used it myself, but does it beep by a regular ring?
