So, with the approval of Flyboy Fox and Carbo, let's get this project under way!

Now, with the 2011 year and Sonic's 20th Anniversary now to a close, I say we end this with one more big bang! And I introduce to you what this particular bang is going to be:

The Sonic Stadium Music Album!2011 EDITION

Now, some of you may be asking yourselves the following:

"What does this mean?"
"How can I join?"
"Where's the computer room!?"


Answer 1!

The Sonic Stadium Music Album is a collaborative project where all musicians based within the Sonic Stadium Member Board can participate! That's right, almost everyone is welcome!

The point of this album is to promote one area of the Sonic franchise that everyone should be familiar with. That, my friends, is music! Next to the hedgehog's universe, this is the next most important piece! And with this album, we'll expand upon it!
The second reason for this album's conception is to showcase the musicians of the world's biggest Sonic fan community, and the Sonic Stadium is just that! We've got fans from all over the world here, and with a large handful of musical talent from a good share of our members, we'll become even bigger! A place where people may not only gather, but create!

Along with that, we have an album art cover contest as well!

How can you join? Well, there's a few rules.


Main rule-You have to be a member of SSMB.

Music

1-No mash-ups. I apologize to those who wanted to showcase a few neat combinations of Sonic tracks and others, but this is an album were music must be created, not used, stuck together and sugarcoated. In other words, don't stick two MP3 files together and call it your work. By that, I mean (for example) don't stick the mp3s of Unawakening Float and Misty Lake together and put your name on it.

2-Quality. Now by quality, I mean the quality of the sound. It doesn't matter if it's a direct recording from a computer or you playing it live, but if the sound quality is iffy, then... yeah. ^^;

3-Variety of the tracks. By variety, I don't mean the instrumentation. While one song from the Sonic series can be nice, it would stink if we had, for example, 6 remixes of Azure Blue World from different artists here. When you submit a remix, please be clear as to what the theme or the level(s) based upon it is. We should only accept at least 2 or 3 of each theme/level. It won't be on a first come, first serve basis either!

4-It MUST be your own work! And by that, it basically means that if you stole the music from somebody else or want to submit work that ISN'T your own, you're not in and it won't be accepted. That's it. Should we discover that it's stolen property, it will be pulled from the album and you'll be banned from a future collab, along with having your art submission removed.

5-ORIGINAL SONGS ARE ACCEPTED. Got an original music track that sounds Sonic-y? Do share it! This is always welcome!

6-Submission. Pre-existing works are allowed! If you've got something already, post it here!

7-Be cool, be wild, be groovy, be creative! In other words, have fun!

8-Other SEGA-based admissions. It's mainly supposed to be a Sonic album, but if you've got something from Space Channel, Super Monkey Ball, NiGHTS, Billy Hatcher, or any other SEGA related track, do drop by and submit it as well! They're always welcome!

9-No midis. Thank you Huepow00 for bringing this to mind. Since midis appear to be incredibly easy to pull - and to use from others, with or without permission - none of these are accepted. Any submissions of the sort will be rejected.

Album Cover Art

1-Originals only. The cover must be original, so official artwork, even edited official art, is not allowed.

2-Theme. It's an album coming from The Sonic Stadium, so the cover must be themed as such!

3-It must be your own work. If stolen, it will be pulled along with all of your tracks if you've submitted any.

4-The winner will have his/her entry chosen as the official album cover. However, I will include all of the other submissions and put them into the final folder: that way, you can switch the covers around at your choosing! It's like the Change Music option for Sonic Generations, just... Album Art for the Stadium Album. xD

All submissions must be posted here through MP3 format, whether on Megaupload (Requiescat in pace), Mediafire or any other downloadable service. Please do make sure that you've got a title and put in your username as author. I'll handle the rest.

Maximum number of music submissions: 3/user + 1 interlude (optional).
Maximum number of album cover art contest submissions: 1 (final)/user.

I would love to have my work be a part of this. :D I recently finished two remixes that I think would be perfect for this. One is of Sunset Park Zone Acts 1 & 2 from Sonic Triple Trouble, and the other is of Yellow Desert Zone from Sonic Blast (I like to cover the more obscure songs...). I won't have 3 songs I feel like that's hogging quite a bit, plus I doubt I'll get that many done, but I still don't know which song I'd do for a second track. As for it being a medley, it's mostly Ice Cap, Diamond Dust, and Fire Stone. They kinda mix into each other, but of course it's my own work and not the original MP3s mashed together. So this would be fine right =O?
