Gameinformer revealed a new South Park Game: A full scale RPG for X-Box 360 and Playstation 3, made by THQ and Obsidian, with Parker and Stone writing the script and overseeing the whole project. You play as a kid and have to make friends to fight against enemies.

Not much else is known about that game, but there is a nice pic showing the characters and their fantasy looks.

So, what do you think about that idea?

Apparently, you take the role of the new kid in town, and you have to fight against a bunch of things that threaten the city. Other than the new kid part, wasn't that the plot of all the other games?

Isn't that the plot of half the video games created until today?

Lol more or less, though usually more varied in terms of what you're defending.

I'm not a huge South Park fan or anything, but I'm always up for a quirky RPG, so I'm definitely interested in this. I have a soft spot for Obsidian, too, even if their games tend to be... er, flawed.

Oh awesome! Now I want to get an XBox 360, just because of this game. I'm a huge South Park fan.

A South Park...RPG?

Well, I guess it's no more out there then a first person shooter or kart racer. I'm not getting my hopes up for anything amazing, but it sounds interesting.

Sounds like an easily workable concept. Sort of like a more raunchy Earthbound. I'll wait until I see gameplay to decide if its worth a purchase or not, though.

Don't give a shit about South Park, but Obsidian means fun quests, good dialogues and entertaining character interaction (after you've dealt with the plethora of bugs!). I'm... not sure how to feel about this.

Now if it was Regular Show themed, that'd be a 3000x3000 pixel takemymoney.jpg moment.

Sounds good to me, as long as it's not all overly political and preachy.

It sounds like it could be..interesting. I've seen a few episodes of South Park when it's on, and it's a pretty good show. I wouldn't call myself a massive fan or anything, though.

Either way, I'll be sure to check out gameplay and other stuff on this one when it comes out, I'm curious to see what it'll look like.

Personally, I'd prefer to be able to play as the boys themselves but as a massive South Park fan, I'll definitely be looking into this.

One thing I can see this game doing is Kenny always having a low HP, resulting in the game screaming "OMIGOD! THEY KILLED KENNY! YOU BASTARDS!"

Dynamic lipsyncing? Am I the only person who finds that funny for South Park? XD

Game sounds pretty good. I wish someone would scan the article. It seems there are pics from the game.

Looks just like the series!

Characterisation looks spot on as well. Check out Cartman giving the finger.

Looking very, very nice indeed. I'm excited for this now.

Wow, the graphics are great. Had I been shown them without knowing from what they are, I'd definitely think they're from the show.
