Just finished Fate/Zero and the latest DBZ anime movie. I gotta say, I was so happy with both of these. High light of my year.

Just finished the first half of Sword Art Online and so far, it's definitely one of the better series I've watched in a long time. I've read from countless people that the second half caused a major divide among fans. That worries me a bit to be honest. Hopefully, I'll enjoy it as much as the first 13 or 14 episodes.

Ehh...good luck with believing that...or achieving that thought process by the end of it.

I've heard someone describe the change in season quality as "watching porn only for it to end up being your parents".

Spent the last few days blazing through a pretty cool manga called Dorohedoro. It's gory as shit (to the point that you get numb to it pretty quick, actually), but the characters are interesting (even what you might call the villains are about as fleshed out and almost as likable as the protagonists) and there's some really freaky and interesting magic. It's about a guy named Kaiman, an amnesiac with a lizard's head, who goes around fighting magic users and sticking their heads in his mouth to see if the guy inside recognizes them in the hope of finding out who he is.

It's weird, occasionally disturbing, darkly funny, and sometimes even kind of touching. Good shit, as long as you've got the stomach for it.

Speaking of gory shit, I just started to read Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, at about Chapter 40 and… just….wow.

Can I just say that I love everything about this manga? The action and for is so over the top that's it's just hilarious, people get dismembered and stabbed in so many ways that I don't think I've seen the same death twice as of now, just great stuff. The character concepts are so stupid but yet brilliant at the same time, the art is fucking weird as hell but still really interesting to look at visually, there's so many times in this manga where a combination of the weird art and silly gore make a combo moment that just makes me laugh my ass off. And by god, Dio has got to be one of the most lovable hate-able villains I've seen in a long time. Everything he does is downright despicable but you just get a look at his face and you can't help but love the bastard.

Seriously, when the bad guy throws a corpse so fast that the limbs fly off and act like bullets, taking several people's heads off and breaking several bones, you just know you're in for one hell of a ride.

English trailer for Hayao Miyazaki's last film for Studio Ghibli and in general, The Wind Rises is now released. Doesn't have any voices or acting, however. Just from music from the film playing in the background. Nonetheless, I'm just as excited as ever to see this whenever it gets to the states on February 28th, film looks rather stunning.

Oh yeah, and here's the North American poster:

I loved Mushishi but I thought the last episode was a pretty lame finale, since it wasn't told through Ginko's perspective at all. Here's hoping it fairs to be a better conclusion to the anime than the second movie was for Kino's Journey which was hella laaaaaaaaaaaaame.

I remember watching Mushishi when it was on the Funimation channel...it was different, and I actually did like it. Hope the special delivers.

Great episode.

I really though that L-Elf was going to pull an Spike on us. Very intense episode for him and for Liselotte, death flags everywhere. But Liselotte... :(

I can´t believe they left Saki behind lol.

PS: Boku janai bitches

Hmm, would anyone mind requesting an anime for me to watch? I'm more of an action-comedy fan if you'd like to know what I'd be interested in, though I'll watch something more serious from time to time. Also... I'm not a fan of fanservice, just to let you all know.

I am quite enjoying Megaman NT Warrior at the moment, it has a pretty good blend of action and comedy, and due to the games from which it's based on, no fanservice. As far as I've seen.
