Well this announcement surprised me. Dragonball Z is returning with a new series called Dragon Ball Super. It'll take place after the Buu Saga and will be premiering in July of this year.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I feel like I've grown out of DBZ a bit and can't really handle the pacing of the old show, but I still love the characters, and the franchise. Particularly OG DB. If this is got some of that old school magic I am so in.

 

Doesn't the phrase "a villian even more powerful than freiza and buu" kind of make you cringe though? I mean and this point it's expected but maaan.

Also I'm still holding off on picking up One Piece again. It has to be the slowest progressing Manga I've ever seen and reading it weekly breaks my immersion in the fights entirely.

To be fair as far as I understand this is just the author being a lazy fuck and not releasing chapters as opposed to outright pacing his chapters badly like One Piece.

It seems it's less lazyness and more him being literally ill, plus working on other things.

 

He's probably also tired of being stuck with Berserk.

Was anyone else disappointed in Tsubasa Chronicle overall? I think the way CLAMP did the meeting of older characters did not flow well with the originals.

Also to be fair Fullbring was a decent arc and that was the arc before the current one. Too bad there was a bunch of shit before that...
