Well, my Internet was shit last night so I couldn't watch two of this week's three (archive) Digimon Xros Wars episodes on Crunchyroll. Fingers crossed (pun not intended?) it holds up a bit better tonight.

But yeah, Crunchyroll are getting pretty close to the end of the original Xros Wars, now. Whilst it's still a very flawed series, I must admit, after the train wreck that was Xros Wars Hunters, I'm certainly appreciating it considerably more than I did the first time around. I think once I'm done rewatching Xros Wars, I'll probably finally get around to restarting 02 in Japanese; I've been watching it on and off for the last, er, three years, and still only got about two-thirds of the way through, so I may as well just restart. If I actually manage to see that through to the end, I'll make a start on Tamers in Japanese, too (even though I've heard the official subs had no quality control whatsoever in terms of spelling and grammar). Thank god for region-block bypassing on Crunchyroll.

In terms of Naruto, Kishimoto has said that we'll be finding out who Tobi actually is within the next couple of chapters (or at least, some time within the next month); if it's anyone other than Madara's younger brother, I'll be disappointed. Anyone else would seem unjustified and worse, unjustifiable.

Getting kind of bored of One Piece (anime); it's moving too slowly and as people said at the time in the manga, the fish-man island arc isn't really all that. :/

Gintama (manga) has just finished another big serious arc, one which I sadly wasn't too keen on. It worries me a little that Sorachi seems to be doing more and more of these big arcs in quicker succession, when, whilst he's usually quite good at them, they're not the main reason I follow Gintama. The big arcs should be the exception, rather than the rule.

I watched some of it last year and I can confirm this. It's still doable, imo, but they make some rather obvious, almost bootleg DVD-esque mistakes.

I almost couldn't find Mami anywhere because I bought her a month or two after she was released. Luckily YesAsia had her (had to pay $130 for her but hey it's just money...). I just need Kyoko (releasing this month) and Ultimate Madoka to complete the Goodsmile figure collection (gave up on the Figma line, saving that for Bakemonogatari).

Grrrrr... been looking for that Shana figure in the middle for a while now. It was another one of those that I owned once but bit the dust to make some money. Speaking of Shana... got my Season 1 Blu Ray/DVD boxset in the mail today. Can't wait to watch this on Blu Ray. Too bad Season 2 Parts 1&2 got pushed back to December, though.

It got pushed back... sucks but I guess in a way it's good, means I can save that money for something else that month, Posted Image My Shana set is being held because I ordered it and Freezing in the same order. I bought that Shana figure about 2 years ago from a site well known for bootlegs "Treasure Island Inc" (don't order shit from them. I was a figure collecting noob back then) and luckily it was a legit figma. Notice the figure I circled as fake is no longer on the shelf...

I can't believe I only had 11 anime sets back then...

P&S is one of those rare occasions where the English dub may be infinitely superior to it's original Japanese version. And very little of the dialogue is accurately translated. You can tell they had a blast recording this show. I can't even tell you how many times I busted out laughing at some of the ridiculous dialogue. And don't even get me started on the Transformers episode.

If you're talking about anime in general, there's not really much they can do about it. The pool of voice actors here is much smaller than it is in Japan, which is why if there's a good voice actor, you'll start hearing him/her in everything.

So anyone here other than Noire watch Heroman? I haven't seen it yet but am about to, but right off the bat it looks like a show I'll probably love the hell out of. I also cannot express how adorable I think Joey is, I sure hope he cross-dresses a lot in this series.

It seems like something i'd love too, but lack of dub is lame, I want to hear Stan Lee's booming voice dammit.

Definitely an anime I've been meaning to check out. I really like its premise and art style... And also, Stan Lee. XD

All I can say is, dammit SHAFT this better be fucking weird and end in tragedy because my wallet bled for Madoka. I don't want a Madoka clone, but I also don't want a typical girly girl magical girl show... or do I?

It'd be a bit much if they did two magical girl deconstructions shows virtually one after the other imo but on the other hand I kind of want this to be a little more then meets the eye, because SHAFT are at their best when they're weird.

Guess we'll find out by ep 3.
