Video of mourning crowds in North Korea.

It's really sad knowing that this is part brainwashing from birth into actually believing that he was a demigod/god, and part faking out of fear of what will happen to them if they don't make a show of how grief stricken they are.

Yep, they did a missile test after they announced his death, shows how paranoid they are.

Poor sods they must of have been practising all year with an AK-47 pointed at their heads.sleep.png

It's not even that- their propaganda is so thorough it even leaks into their lexicon, with terms like Dear Leader and Eternal President, and information is controlled to the point that these people don't know any better than to worship the regimes that have been repressing them for decades. Some citizens even think Kim Il-sung or Kim Jong-il created the world and control the weather for god's sake!

You think maybe people are unhappy with this guy's appointment to succeed?

The real power in NK is the military. Besides running borders they arrange civic shit like farm aid. The military is like 30% of everybody. I wonder if their leader has to answer to anyone, like inner circle people.

Yeah, and North Korea really knows how to put the "cult" in "cult of personality." The amount of empowerment given to this man's image is all but theocratic.

Not "all but." Jong Il was treated as if he was divine.

So North Korea is turning slowly into a military dictatorship more along the lines of Burma/Myanmar... Is Kim Jong-Un a puppet ruler then?

Anything would be better than whatever kind of medieval shit Il would pull.

At least if it's a military state, then they won't be brainwashed as badly by a single horrible dictator.

To be honest, Its more likely that the military have been pulling the strings for quite sometime now. So I doubt it would make much of a difference.
