Hello all!
So recently I have been trying to sign in, but I keep getting problems.
1. For some reason the sign in window requires me to enter my original username instead of my current one. Could this be fixed?
2.This may or may not relate to my phone, but whenever I try to put in my password it only recognizes the old one instead. Is this only unique to mobile phones?

I dunno about your password problem, but you picked a log in name when you signed up...and that is the name you will always log in with. Your display name is the name shown to other members, which may or may not match your log in name, but the fact that you change your display name doesn't affect that you still will always have to log in with the same name.
