Sorry guys, unable to repeat the party this year. Ben can't really afford it and I've decided I won't be attending SoS this year sadly. Maybe next year!

(NOTE: The Unofficial Summer of Sonic Pre/post party is totally unofficial and nothing to do with the main Summer of Sonic event or Sega. We're not affilliated with the event or otherwise. Just 2 fans looking to throw a fun party!)

Didn't come to this one last year as I'd already made prior plans, but presuming I can dart down to London quick enough after work, I could make it this year (work's already a little miffed that I can't work the Saturday when they thought they had given me enough notice XD). Will have to let you know closer to the time.

If possible however, I'd quite like to be there this time around :)

I'm fairly sure last year was 18+, however I only went to the afterparty so that's the only one I know of for sure.

18+ is reasonable and I understand this. I will try to get to SoS this time.

Can't really say for sure yet, though we certainly couldn't of taken underage fans last time, so odds are it could be an 18+ event again only. Sorry : ( - Odds are there will be alcohol at this event and we (nor the venue) would want to be held liable if someone underage has something they shouldn't.

Of course this could change, it really depends on what we decide, but I would assume 18+ only unless we say otherwise

I may or may not be able to make it depending on what my plans are and how I feel. I couldn't make it to the pre-SoS party last year due to prior plans, and I was really tired and wasn't able to stay at the after-party for long. I'll get a better idea as the date gets closer, but assuming I have no prior plans in place and I'm not feeling tired, I'd love to come!

unfortunately most events are 18+, because we're all old gits who like to spend our time gettin' a bevvie doon the pub (getting a drink in the bar, for anyone who's not Scottish)

I shall see how my plans go this year, last year it just so happened i went wherever i went as i usually do. Planning is boring :( living one step at a time is random and interesting. =P

I'd be up for a pre party although it all depends when I get down and how far along things are, heck at the moment I'm not quiet sure where I'm going to be coming from

Unless something absolutely random happens, I'd be comfortable setting up in a bar, like I did last year in the O'neills with a bucketload of folks I've known from previous years.

You don't need anythign fancy to have a good time, just friends. (Booze helps though, then you get people singing We Can in the pub :D)

Sure I'll come. This guy I know went to it last year, I think. I heard his, or someone scarily close to his, voice somewhere in that video at the top.

Coincidently, at time of writing this, We Can just started playing on the SEGASonic radio =P

I do agree, you don't NEED bells and whistles to have a good time. But sometimes it can be fun to have them!

Personally I got a kick out of having a party where we could customise stuff, open bar and the multiplayer sessions. We didn't need them at all, but we wanted to do something a little special, and wouldn't mind doing it again. People on the night were quite happy to sit and chat, mostly I did it so fans could mingle a little more. As, while pubs and all are nice - they tend to be more intimate gatherings, and when it's like that...people don't really venture far out of the people they know.

Of course everyone has different tastes, and I respect that - I went to an impromptu meet up on the sunday after SoS and did enjoy that too. We just wanted to do something that might encourage people to mingle, make new friends and generally have a good time.

It is because of you guys that, when I started discussing SoS '11 afterwards on RadioSEGA, I decided to christen We Can the unofficial song of the event.

As long as it's not Believe in Myself, I don't think I mind too much. Hate that song with a passion.

Right, definately "What I'm Made Of..." then. Sadly one of the Sonic Barbershop Quartet shall not make it this year (FTA - I miss you already dude, I really do ;.;), so I'm now filing for an adequately sexy replacement.

What say you Bcdc and Tall-Guy? Shall both of you be returning with a sufficient amount of alcohol?
