All I'm seeing is "UH OH SPAGHETTIOS SONIC EGGMAN BE TAKIN' DEM ROBATS FROM DUH OLD GAYMS AND MAKIN' 'EM ROBAT HARDER DIS TIEM. GO GET 'EM TIGUR1", and that applies to both episodes.
Hell, Episode 1's official description lists it as exactly that; Eggman remaking old machines and stirring trouble again. Episode 2? He brought back Metal Sonic and that other thing. There's literally nothing more to it.
What's to theorize about?

but after seeing sky fortress i've caved and boarded the hype train
that level, the music, the gimmicks, everything is a fucking masterpiece and i cannot wait to be going through it myself
i actually felt like "holy shit, this looks fucking stunning, it feels like a classic whilst remaining its own thing"
so yeah, officially hyped from 3 acts, can't believe it took me this long to enjoy it though, the other acts seem a bit lackluster compared to this, and i can't help thinking Sonic Rivals at the theme park level.

WellStory-wise? What the fuck is happening story-wise?

Actually, I'll be totally honest and and say I forgot about Little Planet being part of the story until the the cutscene before the final stage. The story in this game is so not there it doesn't matter. Kinda of lame they'd bring back Little Planet to serve such 'little' purpose. S4 is over though. Let it be over, SEGA. Have Sonic Team make Sonic 5 as a full retail title instead. Make Sonic 5 the true Sonic 4.

I'll actually disagree with you on that. Sonic 4 is what it is. It'd be weird and kind of a waste to have Sonic Team come in at the 11th Hour to make some good levels that just won't fit with the rest of Sonic 4. Let DIMPS finish up the S4 series, and let Sonic Team get started on their own Sonic 5.Man, it would be awesome if Sonic Team made Episode 3 themselves...

Or maybe on a retail version of Sonic 4 all together with something extra and different stuff in the levels. The possibilities are many but i can see not even one happening

I think it would have been better to have little planet-death egg as an entire episode (i.e. episode 3). After all Sonic CD was an entire game based soley on little planet.
Also I think Death Egg Mkii in Ep2 should of had at least four acts like a normal Sonic 4 zone. Death Egg is supposed to be epic like in S3&K and seems too short in Ep2.

Ripped assets are going to be fair game after release though, right?I know you guys are going to hate me for this, but leaked assets include art ripped from the game. Do not post them.

...I'm sorta liking the idea of the sequel being an all-new Sonic game after what you've said there. Not that I would mind an Episode 3 (I'd love one very much), but that would make for an epic saga!

I love Tails' derpy look up animation too, and the special stage failure animations are some of the nicest facial/body-language animations they've done with the pair.
You know I'd be okay with mute cut-scenes in games if they are all this lovingly animated. Generations was pretty great but Classic Sonic was never animated this expressive.

I understand... Well, I guess I'll really have to wait for the final release in mid-May...Yes, but we won't. Out of respect to SEGA, assets from this leak (be music, screenshots, videos and ripped data) are not allowed to be posted on this forum.
