Yeah that's kind of ridiculous nitpicking for details that will pass by the screen in a couple of seconds. Pretty much every modern game has little clashes and hiccups like that when you look at everything in detail.

Guys I was joking. Those were just some shots I came across in another forum and posted here for laughs.

Or maybe Sonic and Tails are on the Little Planet, or some other planet, and in actuality Dr. Eggman is taking over the Earth.

That would be awesome

My guess is that Episode 3 will take place on the Death Egg/Little Planet. That way SEGA could revamp the Time Stones and the UFO special stages. They could then bring back the time travel gimmick. No doubt Knuckles will show up.

That would be awesome

I love your signature, Palmtree Panic (present) Act 1. Great level, great game.

I dont care if this game is either freaking good or freaking horrible because that Co-Op online play is going to Kick-Ass!!

Its about time we got a sonic game with GOOD online play. HOPEFULLY!!

You don't care if this is a bad game because it has Co-op?
I know I would prefer a good game even if it is only single player to a bad one with Co-op.

Ken said some stuff recently today.

Hello everyone! I'm back! Posted Image

Actully I beat Revelations and WAS playing Halo! Posted Image

No seriously - I've been working a ton so thats whyI havent been on. I'm on my way to LA next week to meet with Microsoft (and try and get Halo 4 details) and talk about Sonic 4 as well as a few other projects we have (Virtua Fighter 5, among others)

That said - I hope everyone is super happy with the screens and yu will all be happy with the new trailer on the 23rd on GameSpot. Also - for some people doubting - the second scene in the trailer will show everyone SONIC NO LONGER UNCURLS WHEN ROLLING UP RAMPS! (yes that was purposly shown!)

There is definely a story, and once you see Ep 2 - the Ep I story comes together. Also - pick up the Archie Comics tie-in; that will help a lot. Posted Image

My primary concern at the moment is the level design; Dimps proved with JENURASHUNS that they can get everything else right, so clarification isn't really necessary. I'm more interested in a full level playthrough (I don't really care what level it is) than anything else.

Water Palace Classic and Tropical Resort Classic were pretty spot on. I feel like Generations level design was a roller coaster because the game was rushed. (In fact, Iizuka said the 3DS version was rushed.)

Speaking of the above quote, it came from here.

Tropical Resort Classic is ripped from Act 1 of Tropical Resort DS. A Classic Sonic game should never be designed like a Sonic Rush level so that's not a very good example

I hope that the updated physics engine isn't merely just "Sonic uncurls off ramps", and that they made some substantial changes to how controlling Sonic works. He shouldn't be slow as a brick and overly reliant on the homing attack to get around, you should be able to move him about with ease without losing inertia.

I'm pretty sure we already established that the level being a carbon copy is a false statement.

I hope the physics aren't just Classic Generations 3DS physics. That wouldn't be good enough for me. I wanna actually roll, dammit. I wanna roll. ;-;

Rolling worked fine in Episode I... if you held forward. They need to make it work fine 100%. The main things that Dimps need to fix are Sonic losing inertia in the air, his sluggishness, and the rolling. If those things are fixed then I will be pretty happy with the physics engine.

Nah, it's just going to be 4 short 1-second clips spread apart by horribly shitty transition scenes while a generic "epic" track plays in the background.

...

I kid, I'm looking forward to see what they've improved. The screenshots look nice besides a few minor graphical problems that you probably won't notice when actually playing the game.

I don't really want to make any predictions about the trailer, my hopes are not high that it will really be anything special or show anything of value, but at least it's gameplay footage. We likely won't get anything that says too much about the gameplay until E3, honestly.

I disagree, I don't think it did work fine in Ep. I. Holding forward while rolling just made you not lose speed. It kept the speed the same for the most part. It didn't increase. That is without a doubt the number one thing I want them to fix in Ep. II. Hell, they didn't even get it right in Generations, and that ended up being my only gripe with the classic levels in that game, mainly because I rolled to pick up speed all the time in the classic games. But yeah, losing inertia and the overall sluggishness definitely needs to be fixed as well.
