USAopoly are a board game maker, and it would appear that they're making several new Sonic themed board games for 2012.

First up we have a Sonic Die Cut Puzzle game, no details as to what that will be except for the price and release date. Priced at $14.99

Next up we have a Sonic the Hedgehog Memory game, again not many details here, other than price and release date... Priced at $14.99

However... I suspect this is the one we're going to want.

Looks like we're going to get a Sonic version of the worlds most popular board game Monopoly. USAopoly are making the game and currently it's priced at around $30-$40 depending where you shop at.

Expected release date for all these games is August 2012 (it won't be as good as the SSMB version)

Now, I checked big bad toy store for Sonic stuff the other night, they only had the DIe Cut puzzle, so we might see additional games added later.

So then, who wants to pass go and collect 200 rings?

Hey SSMB! I've got a fantastic idea, right. Let's make a Sonic-themed Monopoly board! Ah we can do all these cool things with Amy's Hammer as a piece, Prison Island instead of Jail... I can't believe there hasn't been one officially made yet!

I would have thought someone had found these before I did! I only spotted them after you linked that Portal replica gun and got curious.

As I said in my status though, I'm looking forward to seeing the differences in our SSMB Sonic Monopoly and the real deal.

Well I checked big bad toy store a few days ago, been trying a lot lately because I'm trying to find photos/video of new york toy fair. So I found this.

And they didn't have the monopoly or memory game up, so they've only just been added. Also should point out, it seems that if you order direct from USAopoly's website, you sometimes get additional stuff, and they have a facebook page that lets fans vote what goes in... .. .. ... Christ...

Although... I want Sega to contact a Witch Doctor and have him build us a Sonic Jumanji, so instead of a stampede of wild annimals, we get a herd of Motobugs running majestically as far as the eye can see.

HA! Well, not exactly. I DID really want a Sonic Monopoly, which is why I started making one. Now that one is actually being made, I'll be getting it day one. No doubt.

Though (not to toot toot Sonic warrior my own horn), I very much doubt it will be as good as the SSMB one. Unless they get some Sonic fans on the project, I can't see it making references to obscure stuff or every main series title. God forbid that they use characters as property like Nintendo Monopoly did.

I'm pretty sure that the four corners will be as they are on the plain Monopoly, that's how Simpsons and Futurama did it. Seinfeld had unique images (the cast in jail from the finale for "In Jail", lol).

Hopefully we see some NEW renders and unique art for the board, like other franchise monopoly games.

It's probably exactly like the Mario versions of the Memory match and Monopoly game. Fifty-two cards with power-ups included for variety.

Look what I found. It's been up on USAopoly's facebook page for a few days now, been so busy looking for Meccano news I forgot about this one. Boxart looks... interesting, quite curious now to see what the puzzle game will look like. Oh yeah, also what the board and playing pieces look like.

I think "rings" is a bit of a misnomer as I suspect it'll be paper currency as usual.

Awesome to see this finally announced. Can't wait to hear more about the different game pieces and board differences.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen that Sonic render before. Looks really cool.

Looks cool, really hoping the properties are zones and stages and NOT characters. That would be really lame.

Remember my custom Monopoly game? I didn't, don't worry. After the property cards are made, I think I'll stop there and allow this version to provide the money, pieces and houses/hotels. Sort of like an extension to this version.

I'd actually LOVE if they blew mine out of the water.

Huh, someone's mentioned that a Sonic puzzle might be coming out at the same time at the memory game. That could be fun.
