What's the appeal of a big` crossover if you on recognise like two of the characters?

I'm talking about me personallySo that people are more interested in the game said unrecognisable character comes from. Pit is a perfect example of this.
Plus, there are quite a lot of recognisable characters in that speculation pic, such as Jill, Dante, Zero, Ken, Jin, Tear, and KOSMOS. Unless you're talking about the SEGA characters, because I have absolutely no idea who they are or where they're from anyways. (With the only exception being the guy on the far right, but that's a stretch since I don't even remember his name)

Like, I'd be interested in SSBB cause I know most of the characters in that, and someone like Pit is the exception. From this list of (suspected) characters though I could only pick out Zero and haven't even played an MM game before so there's nothing to be interested in for me.

Eh, it's cool. X is seriously overdue for some actual representation in a crossover game (aside from the costume in UMvC3, which was a bit of a cop-out). He's the only blue bomber who hasn't turned up in a crossover game personally (not including the ZX peeps, who need some love as well). Considering who's developing it, it makes sense that X and Zero would appear side-by-side. If it IS X, then it lends weight to the likely theory that this is a tactical RPG like most of Banpresto's games. The site updated again with a new character for each section
Also it seems like everyone's favorite Blue Bomber has risen from the dead to represent Capcom (the red dot leads me to believe that it's X)

I'd love X to be in this game. When was his last appearance in a Capcom game anyway? (Not counting the UMvC3 costume.)

Considering the amount of SEGA RPG characters at the bottom there it seems likely, indeed. So, I'm not the only one who assumes this is just a follow up to Namco X Capcom with SEGA thrown into the mix, right? Given the developer, it seems the logical choice. I hope the United States would actually get this one, though. I must command my army of company mascots to do my bidding.

Man, I was kind-of interested in this game...I hope to God they add Sonic, Megaman or Pac-Man. If they don't, I probably won't be getting it...

As neat as it would be to play Namco X Capcom, it certainly doesn't look like a game that has a market in the west. It's a strategic, turn-based RPG with visual novel presentation. Despite having some recognizable characters, this would never sell, even if they updated it for PSN/360- which they wouldn't. It's a pretty low-budget game, and it's clear they weren't anticipating selling it outside of Japan. I'd love to see it but it really doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of seeing an international release of ANY kind.I have just happened upon the Slowpoke-revelation of the year that Namco × Capcom was never localized.
...why was it never localized again, exactly? Looking at some of the gameplay, cutscenes, and miscellaneous other morsels of the original instalment it looks like it was pretty fun and jam-packed full of recognizable characters! (Just look at all of them!) Definitely moreso than similar title Cross Edge, and even that got localized. I'm actually genuinely bummed that we missed out on such an interesting-looking game.
Starforce Mega Man didn't either. He's the only blue bomber who hasn't turned up in a crossover game personally (not including the ZX peeps, who need some love as well).
