Did I just get bub'd?
It's Sanger Zonvolt, THE BLADE THAT CLEAVES EVIL, not "Somvold". And the Super Robot Wars Original Generations games actually were released in the west, which he was in. Do your research, bub.
I copy-pasted the name from the GoNintendo article. I didn't know about the name. They misspelled it. I see that he was in a couple of games that got released in the west, but that's not true for all of his games, including his first major appearances. That and the series is still predominantly a Japanese property so my point still stands- as does my point about the Valkyria 3 characters.
Again, this doesn't look like the kind of game they'd bother trying to release in the west. Besides just the cast, which looks like it was picked to appeal to Japanese players first, turn based, strategy RPGs like this don't do well in the west. There just isn't a big audience for them. The fact that this game's got a 2D anime art style (which I like for the record) isn't doing it many favors either.
I personally really dislike Megaman X's current design, so I actually don't think it would be awesome. Plus as Indigo said, Sonic wouldn't fit in seamlessly.
