..That could be disastrous, as I'm pretty sure that's the reason 360's "mic playerbase" ended up as incorrigibly loud and violent as it is.

one of the reasons i loved my ps3 over my 360.... less 12 year olds on mics screaming whenever you killed them.... oops... i mean cheated them

Wait, you can't use used games on it? What is this I don't even....

What's given you that idea?

I think I may be one of the few people here that likes the design of the DS4. From the looks of it, it seems pretty comfortable too.

i like it too, the analogs look a bit weird imo (they should be totally concave or convex, not a mixture in between)

I liked it too smile.png

Loved the conference, hype during all over it. The graphics aren't SO impressive so far, but the new functions made me want this new PS right now. Put your game on stand-by and keep it up from where you left without having to watch all the logos and title screens? Perfect. The sharing options all seems awesome as well. The controller looks cool, and the touch pad will come in hand (no pun).

And I'm really interested on this game, you all probaly know why:

Not sold on the PS4 yet, I was a bit underwhelmed by the event. It was a decent conference but nothing really stood out that made me want to get it straight away. Guess I'll have to wait till E3 to make a proper judgment. I quite like the look of the controller though.

didn't expect to see all the stuff I actually did see, so this conference was pretty good for me.

A good couple of things to look forward too, and a they didn't beat around the bush with their spec's. They put it all out there which was really great. Looking forward to the insta-play downloads (I hope that extends to game installation as well) and the rear touch pad on the DS4 really opens up some interesting angles.

Y'know, I have to wonder...next-gen games are going to be bloody expensive! Wii U games here in the UK cost £49.99 for a brand new game, so I'm guessing that we'll have to pay at least £59.99 per game!

If that isn't pre-rendered, then the console is going to cost a lot of money. The newest GPUs cost nearly 500 dollars, and this is supposed to be "next generation" if they're not talking out of their ass.

Edit: SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY FOUR US DOLLARS.

That's probably a place holder, though it's likely UK buyers will be paying out the ass for it, since every goddamn tech producer seems to like just changing the symbol rather than converting properly.

It's worth noting that the PS3 was £424.99 when it first came out, so if this turned out to be the price, it would actually be a slight improvement on the PS3's launch. It's very likely a placeholder, though.

As far as first party studios go, Evolution and Guerrilla haven't shown any sort of CG for the past +8 years. And if you see what they made of the aged PS3, you'd realize they have zero need to. Sucker Punch never does CG.

Third parties are each their own, but I doubt the ones heavily pimping out engines (Epic, Square, Capcom) would embarrass themselves so much. Scripted, yes. Pre-rendered, unlikely.

We'll see live gameplay demos of these games soon enough. Releases in less than 10 months, after all.

Well, I was going off the 449, not the sale price. It's worse without the sale but, slightly better with the sale, yeah. I doubt it'll be less than 449 base price (without those competing British stores).

One advantage the next Xbox might have is that it'll have DirectX11 (it is a Microsoft exclusive program after all). If you don't know what DirectX11 is, then watch this to see what it can do:
