Colors isn't like Unleashed or Generations at all. That's why it's my least favorite of the three. But I've already played Unleashed three times under different names. That's being too stable.
Eh.. what else can I say but I'm really sick and tired of Sonic only and I wish the bullshit would stop. I swear, if this keeps up I'm going to go back to the pre-Unleashed days where I didn't really care about Sonic at all.

But isn't the pre-Unleashed days is when we got a whole bunch of playable characters and you didn't care for Sonic then?

I agree, Unleashed is exactly like Generations. Werehog, massive amounts of QTE's, flying dog's and all.

It's really not, but I don't really feel like getting too in depth in that right now.Unleashed is exactly like Generations, though. Colors is a dumbed down version.
There were no worthwhile games to look forward to. Everything was stagnated. Unleashed piqued my interest because it was actually, well.. good. But isn't the pre-Unleashed days is when we got a whole bunch of playable characters and you didn't care for Sonic then?
Now it's back to to stagnation. Sure the recent games are good and sure that's a plus, but really.. this Sonic only shit is just frustrating. I love Sonic himself as much the next person but what made me as big of a fan of the series as I am was originally the other characters I know and love and got to play as too.
I'm once again back to not really looking forward to anything. More of the same. Good more of the same but still more of the same. Now this time it's more of Sonic Sonic Sonic and my other favorite characters getting shafted.

You know I'm talking about the day stages.

By that logic, same could be said for the classic games or the Adventure games. Because by that logic, you're obviously ignoring any actual progression in terms of the modern era gameplay. Tighter controls, more platforming, more branching paths, more 3D, more 3D platforming, the trick system, getting rid of QTEs, red rings, no more mandetory medal collecting, Super Sonic in levels and so on.
Even the "dumbed down" Colours made improvements. QTE's not killing you, Super Sonic, no more madetory medals to collect, more platforming, better use of the boost, more multiple paths etc.
I mean I understand if you don;' like the modern gameplay or want something more drastic of a change, fair enough, but don't even say that they're all practically the same game under different names. That is simply not true.

You know I'm talking about the day stages.
And even then it's not all the same. In Unleashed you've got to contend with numerious unfair killer QTE's, loose controlls, mandatory medal collections that you need to collect throughout stages to proceed to the next stage, so many bottomless pit's that Dimps would be in awe, and throughout the majority of the game some really terrible hazard placements.

"Unleashed=Slippery, very fast, trial and error, not very open 3D sections, some multiple paths, multiple paths base on quick reactions, most platforming in 2D, airdash and homing attack on the same button.
Colours=Tightened conrols, more platforming, speed not as fast, speed and platforming seperated, not very open 3D sections, more alternate paths, alternate paths based more so based on exploration, most platforming in 2D, homing attack now the jump button, uses the boost for more than speed.
Generations=Tighter controls, speed of Unleashed combined with the platfomring of Colours, tons of alternate paths based off of both quick reactions and exploration, more open 3D areas, Speed and platforming less seperated and moreso combined, more platforming in 3D, Platforming in both 2D/3D, Homing attack is now the jump button like Colours, uses the boost for more than speed."
Yep, they're all the same game and Colours is a dumbed down version of Unleashed.

I'd also toss in that Colors also did implemantation correctly with the wisps. They were optional, didn't ruin the gameplay, and you could get through the stages without them.

You're over-exaggerating. Sure the level design is improved, and the engine is slightly tighter, but they're still the same.

You completely just countered your point that you were trying to make. You're over-exaggerating. Sure the level design is improved, and the engine is slightly tighter, but they're still the same.

And why in the world are we judging these games based on one part of the whole and then calling them the same? Why?

How was what I posted an exaggeration when they're clear differences between the games?
Edit: ninjad
Because the differences are very small.
Did you just post that the absurd amout of killer QTE's, loose controlls, and mandatory medal hunting were in Unleashed small?

Because they're small differences. Nothing big, nothing ground-breaking. Nothing to make me feel like I'm playing a new game.
Level design improved= little difference.....yeah......
Yes. Some stages are linear, and some are open. Same with Unleashed, except Generations has a few more open stages.

Because the differences are very small.
Better level design, more platforming, tighter controls, no QTEs, more multiple paths, more 3D platforming, wisps and so on are all small differences?
I certainly felt I was playing a new game when it came to the three.
