After the fantastic "Batman Begins" and the incredible "The Dark Knight", Christopher Nolan is going to end his Batman trilogy with Bane and Catwoman as the villains:

So who's hyped? I know i am Posted Image Nolan never disappoints.

If there isn't a scene where Batman punches a shark in the face then uses shark repellent, then I won't give two fucks.

But in all seriousness... kind of disappointed with the villain selection. I was never a fan of Bane. I'll still go see it, but the trailers haven't gotten me that excited. It just looks "okay" to me.

EDIT: Also... how the hell do the football players not notice the fucking field ripping apart around them?

This was a shockingly dull trailer; no scenes really grabbed me like they did for the previous movie. I'll probably end up watching it in theater like last time, though.

I know what you mean. I'm hoping they're just keeping all the cool stuff tucked away as secrets to completely blow us away when we do watch the movie, but perhaps that's just being naive.

I don't see this doing well at all. The first two movies were great, fantastic even. But nothing I've seen from this has reassured me from my underlying cynicism that this is just going to be another case of "third movie is crippling disappointment". Bale's Batman will still be the most uninteresting thing about it, Catwoman both looks and feels bland and Bane is one of the most boring villains available from the massive colorful repertoire to choose from, and I have such a hard time getting around that he's going to carry the appeal of the Batman universe's antagonists through the entire movie on his own.

I'd love to be proven wrong but so far from where I sit, it's not looking very good.

Oh, negative nancy's! It looks great, and Nolan has never made a bad movie. I know he really put his heart into this.

One can only hope he doesn't fall for the "Third movie is lame" trap a lot of other trilogies have had.

Probably would've been better had Heath Ledger not died, and the Joker could've made his second apperance. But whether or not that was intended, you gotta make due with what you can.

When it came to bad Batman films last time it was the fourth film to suck the most balls and I am pretty excited for this more than I am for Spiderman.Posted Image

I am more worried what will happen after Nolan.

As long as it doesn't return to this!

I am absolutely pumped for this movie. Like everyone else I know third movies do tend to suck but there are exceptions such as Lord of The Rings: Return of the King and Toy Story 3. And I'm hoping this movie will be yet another exception.

Place me squarely in the "not excited" camp. Nothing about this movie much less the marketing speaks out to me in any way, and the trailer was incredibly dull minus the stadium sequence, but I can't imagine why that was even edited it. There, it feels more at home in an alien invasion blockbuster or something. Perhaps as time goes on my feelings will change, but at the same time I can't help but think the overwhelming success and praise of the second film has inevitably put a damper on this one. That's a difficult act to follow, especially with Ledger's death overshadowing it.

"Return of the King" and "Toy Story 3" proved that it's possible to save the best for last in a trilogy. I believe in Nolan. After Inception i believe there's nothing he can't do.

I keep wondering if they'll bring The Joker up in the movie. Like what happened to him after he was caught.

Add another tally to the "not too excited" count. I doubt it'll be a bad film, it'll probably be good, even. It's just that The Dark Knight raised the bar pretty dang high, and nothing shown yet has given me that sense of anticipation that TDK's trailers did.

Plus, and maybe I'm alone here, but a third film seems a bit unnecessary. I doubt that many people would have minded ending the Nolanverse with what we were given in TDK. It was a massive struggle between of wits between The Bat and The Clown, that's what the average guy wants in a Batman story. What's been shown so far of Rises just looks like such a step down.

I still plan on seeing it when it comes out, though. As I said, I don't expect it to be terrible, just not as good by comparison. In addition, I think that a part of me is being overly cynical (because if I don't expect anything great, maybe I'll be blown away, rite???).

That doesn't really have anything to do with mentioning him.

Batman Begins is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.

The Dark Knight is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.

"Following" and "Insomnia" are also great movies. Insomnia is his weakest movie but that can be explained by the fact that he didn't write it,he only directed it.
