HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRBY!

27 April 1992, the day Kirby's Dream Land was released on Game Boy in Japan. Kirby's first game sold more 5 million copies worldwide and ever since he's one of Nintendo's most famous franchises. And super CUTE to boot!

So let's all wish the cutesy pink puffball a great future! -^w^-

A new game is coming out this year as well, not REALLY new, but it's similar to the Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary Game that released in 2010. It will feature selected Kirby games.

Yeah, I've heard of that. I just hope it's not a really cheap 25th Anniversary edition like the Mario one. I mean, Mario All Stars (the original) repackaged with a few weeny extras for the price of a normal retail Wii game?? D:

I just hope they include a Kirby soundtrack, because Kirby has some of my favorite music in gaming.

I've never really played much Kirby (For shame Shaddix) but I've started playing this year by playing Kirby Adventure on the 3DS which I am enjoying :D.

So Happy 20th Kirby =P I do hope to pick up Return to Dreamland on the Wii some time this year too =p.

Don't have much to say, besidey happy birthday, Kirby!

I've always loved the series and I'm always happy to see a new one announced. The music is always a highlight and the series has some of my favorite spin-offs(Still absolutely adore Block Ball).H

Hopefully the rumored Kirby 3DS game is real and comes out this year or is at least announced xD

I own every Kirby platformer except for Kirby's Adventure and Return to Dream Land since I lack their respective consoles (yet I own Epic Yarn... don't ask). So yeah, I'm a fan. I do hope the next Kirby game is another spin-off, though.

Maybe I should play KDL1 today.

I like Kirby more than any other Nintendo IP. So I wish the pink wad of bubblegum a happy day.

I love Kirby. I played most of the games and also own a lot of them. Kirby is one of my favourite franchises of all time and my second favourite Nintendo franchise. I just love the little guy. Happy birthday :D

20 years old already? Wow, Kirby Adventure for NES was actually the first game I ever played and owned at the tender age of 3. Imagine my nostalgia when I found the game again on the 3DS eshop! So much fun and faint memories restored. I even remembered the final boss and I'm surprised I managed to get to it back then, my dad may have helped me though. Even though it hasn't aged as well as other Kirby platformers, It's still the most well aged game on the NES aside from maybe SMB3. My favoite kirby game to date is Kirby Superstar Ultra, because of the extra additions from the original KSS. After that I played K64, didn't really like it as much as other Kirby games but It was still good fun. Now I've yet to play Return to Dreamland but I will very soon. Happy birthday Kirby! Who says pink can't be fun? :D

Happy 20th Kirby!

Kirby is definitely one of my favorite Nintendo series. I started from the very beginning since Kirby's Dream Land was one of the very first games I got when I got an original Game Boy (man I feel old XD). Since then I've gotten most of the major releases that have come out. My favorite is definitely Kirby's Adventure on the NES, that game was amazing given the hardware limitations.

I also gotta wonder exactly how kirby's dreamland got so popular. I bought that game on the eshop not too long ago and it was pretty short and it didn't even have copy abilities: what kirby is known for...

I think Kirby is the only series that I actually look forward to suddenly veering into gameplay that's completely different from that of the main series.

Hurrah for you, Kirby! You've never made a bad game* and you're a bright shining beacon of colour and fun in a world of too much brown and drama!

*That I've played.

Kirby is definitely one of my favorite game franchises of all time. Kirby himself is what I'd call happiness incarnate (seriously, name a character that's more adorable yet badass as Kirby), and I can't say that I've ever played a bad Kirby game. It really warms my heart to know that this franchise has withstood the test of time.

I also gotta wonder exactly how kirby's dreamland got so popular. I bought that game on the eshop not too long ago and it was pretty short and it didn't even have copy abilities: what kirby is known for...

Dreamland 1 is "popular"? I always thought it was relatively obscure, as far as Kirby games go. I actually know people who thought that Kirby started on the NES until I told them otherwise.

I'm ashamed to say it, but I really haven't played all that many Kirby games, just Adventure and 64. Gonna pick up Epic Yarn and Return to Dreamland one of these days though. Despite not playing that many games however, I do love the characters, so happy day to the world's most adorable badass.

Happy 20th kirby!

I'v always loved Kirby games but never really owned one until return to dreamland. That's when I fell in love with the series, it's probably my favorite nintendo series now. Epic yarn was another awesome game that I need to get a hold of, the art style is beautiful in that game

Happy 20th Kirby! :D

Kirby is probably the best Nintendo IP IMO, so it's that's awesome.

Kinda wish they made normal Kirby games more frequently and not as many spinoffs though...
