I wonder what improvements Valve have made to the Source engine. We know that they implemented cloth physics in DOTA2, but I imagine they'll have been working hard to improve the Source engine as a whole so the next Half-Life installment is relatively up-to-date in terms of visuals. The Source engine so far isn't cutting-edge anymore like it was last gen, but anything could happpen.

haha! what a way to tease Valve! i wish i got sent an enscribed shiny crowbar...

imagine if the world falls victim to the zombie apocalypse.. do you think Valve would issue everyone with one of these?

did Valve make Left 4 Dead? because if they did, i'm worried they could be hinting at L4D3 with the whole zombie thing...

although HL did have crabhead zombies... hmm...

Eh, it's probably not another L4D game, crowbars aren't really associated with that series like they are with Half-Life. Interesting that it's Nvidia who's supposedly teasing it rather than Valve themselves.

I hate to be the sole negative voice, but Nvidia is a hardware manufacturer, right? Especially graphics cards and such? This announcement could just be for one of their new products with using the crowbar to bring attention.

I just happened to get the Half-Life complete pack at the Christmas sale, but never started on it until about a couple of weeks ago. I love it so much now. A new Half-Life while the old ones are still fresh in my mind would be amazing.

Not necessarily. Nvidia have been known to showcase games that make good use of their hardware, if I remember correctly, and Valve have a rather tight relationship with them. If Nvidia are planning to announce something and they're sending out crowbars in the lead-up to it, chances are it's something Valve-related.

They did indeed develop left for dead, but half life has a buttload of zombies as well.

I just can't get my hopes up anymore honestly. This kinda reminds me more of when a bunch of fans bought crowbars and mailed them to Valve a couple months back.

I'll lose it if Half-Life Game 3 is announced. I just don't expect to have to lose it.

Though E3 is only a few weeks away...

Yeah I'm finding it pretty hard to get excited myself. They've hinted at Half Life 3 before and we still haven't heard anything substantial. Not that I'm totally uninterested, but with that in mind I'm not going to waste my effort and get too worked up.

It's not Half-Life-styled crowbar. HL crowbar is round and white-red. THIS piece of steel isn't even designed to be held easily.

Would love another L4D but Let's hope it is HL3, I haven't played that series but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Remember, a fat joke a day keeps the sequel away.

Graphics card announced yesterday, Nvidia is apparently pretty proud of the "exterior frame of trivalent chromium-plated aluminum"...anyone who is smarter than I am knows if the crowbar in the OP is made of...uh.....that?
