I think some of yOu guys are just being dicks towards angrybitter. I just check out the general news (front page news etc) and interviews most of the time too. I didnt know that there were going to be more tracks per IP in the sense that theyre bringing back old Levels either. I learned about it just now.

As long enough ip's get represented, knowing this doesnt bother me much. I guess we can Leave this now

Djawed, please accept my apologies buddy. I think everyone assumed that the old Classic tracks would be understood to be classed as seperate form all the new content we are generating. But it seems not.
Gah....

...you know, it always amazes me how things get so heated, especially when Rex's 'Fool or Pedant' comment was so obviously made in jest Posted Image

I will remind you that we come in here and talk to you guys in our own time, we do it as we love to connect with you guys but it's really hard to put out fights and fires all the time!

With regards to the track roster - we've been pretty clear that for the *new* tracks, the goal has been to provide more variety and attempt a different IP (or source game) for each of the 16 new tracks. Last time everyone complained that we had 8 effective IP's with 3 tracks each, and even though those did have a lot of variety, more IP's were desired.

TBH - we're not even really talking about the *Classic* tracks - as it's not something we're really supposed to discuss in any real detail jst yet, which is likely why this is all getting very confusing. These are returning tracks from the previous game and given we can only cram so many IP's into the game for many really boring licensing reasons - may mirror an IP which exists in the new tracks.

So yes there may be two Jet Set Radio tracks - but that doesn't mean they're from the same source game (they might or might not be) - nor do they share any assets (they don't - the new track is completely new).

I don't think this is too hard a concept to understand, but then I'm in the enviable position of knowing all the facts since I sit slap bang in the middle of things.

If it's confused some of you then of course we apologise for the mixed messages - we know you're trying to piece together information form all over the place - but then that's why we do come and visit the forums to clear things like this up. That doesn't mean we can't have some fun with it mind, especially when we think people are being purposely obtuse Posted Image

And you may draw your own conclusions for that - or wait for official announcements - surely that's part of the fun of speculating quite what we're doing.

But mostly - please try and play nicer! I can happily stop all our forum activities if all it does is incite riots as I really prefer to avoid that kind of thing!

When you look back it where it started, it was just me asking a simple question about the 2 tracks... But Mr.Rex "jokingly" said I was a pedant, so it's pretty clear who brought "the flames" or "riots" in the discussion.

Of course I appreciate you for answering fans questions despite having a lot of work to do, and generally being really polite, S0L.

as I said... I didn't call you a pedant. And I'm being quite pedantic about that...

Sure you didn't, but it was implied clearly.
Anyway, forget about it and let's move on.

Anyway...

I'm not the only one who'd like to see a Sonic track that isn't from Sonic Heroes, right? I mean, I like Heroes as much as the next guy, but I've had my fill and I honestly want something else this time around.

No need to apologies mate :P. Im too satisfied with where the game is heading for me to let any "high expectations" ruin it. This is coming from someone who is very critical most of the time. There is no doubt you guys are pouring alot of love and effort into this game and i think yall should know(which u probably allready do) are really doing a great job. And in a time where so many IPs are being set aside, this game is basicly any sega fans wish come true. I mean panzerdragoon? Vyse from skies of arcadia? Wow. I wish you all the best of luck with the results.

Anyway, The arguing is starting to drag on now but i just felt that angrybitter was being treated a little unfair.

Yeah well, Eggman/Bowser aren't really doing those things, they're just automated defenses. I'm just saying, you said Eggman would do it when he can't possibly.

Don't take it so literally. I made it clear where my edit was to better explain my post underneath.

I liked the first one a lot, especially the Multiplayer, whenever offline or online, its always fun.

The speed and action of the first ASR were definitive much better than other kartracers I've known before, and the sequel seems to be a little faster.

Transformed kinda does have that good, cool, edgy arcade-like feel. And the drifting looks intense.

I like what I have seen so far, keep up the good, solid work, S0L and the entire Sumo Digital team! If this keeps up, then I am sure that this is going to be a good, fun kart racer, just like its predecessor, but only a LOT better. I hope that Transformed will sale a lot more than ASR1, because it deserves it. Because this is pretty much the "Mario Kart" for people who do not own / do not want to own a Nintendo console.

Edit: Rats! I've posted this one in the wrong topic...Please relocate this post, if possible. And please don't hurt me lol

Oh I get it. The *classic* track is from Jet Set Radio Future, and the *new* is from the original Jet Set Radio. I think this makes more sense now, hum?

Dunno if it has been said, but it would be cool a special track ala Riders 1, mixing various IPs in one

I'd love for the Chemical Plant rumors to be true. It'd be fun to race through that zone.

Another track I hope is in the game is one based off of Radical Highway or City Escape. Probably the former, since City Escape would be a bit bland, if you ask me.

The chemical plant rumor was debunked a long time ago.

They're not doing specific locations in this game. Instead the tracks are all generalizations based on the idea/theme of a game.

Green Hill was debunked when S0L said that the Meccano race tracks weren't based on locations from the game, so by extension that also debunks Casino Street and Chemical Plant. Like PsychoJosh says above, they're now generalisations of themes instead of specific levels.

I also have to wonder people would want any of the stages that appeared in Generations last year. Except Seaside Hill. Everybody wants more Seaside Hill, right guys?!

I'm still sure Sonic won't have the levels just be generalisations.

Its confirmed there will be more than 1 Sonic track? I would like just 1 (not including a returning one), just so that mean more different tracks per IP.
