Dear lord these people are idiots (yeah, it's been said a few times, but still). They put their child into the machine, closed the door, and then started the machine. What did they expect was going to happen? I agree that this was probably out of (a shocking amount of) stupidity instead of them trying to hurt their child, but I personally find this pretty messed up anyway.

I think this is kind of funny. Kids suck.

I'm curious, what is it that you dislike about kids so much that you find a potential near-death experience of one "funny"?

Several of the posts here covered my thought entirely on the whole matter, so I felt it wasn't necessary to repeat myself saying the parents were idiotic or whatever. That being said, I was perfectly content not posting here until I came across this:

Please tell me that you are joking. If so, let me tell you that was a bad joke...In case you were serious, there is absolutely nothing funny about children being mistreated and hurt. And kids do not suck, they are wonderful.

He means the concept of two parents putting a baby in a washing machine is funny, in a cartoonish kinda way. Can't explain it, but I see where he's getting at.

Parents made a mistake, and nobody got hurt in the end. Stupid yes, but no need to make a big fuss about it.

Well, saying they're sick and twisted was rather too far. But this was just stupid in it's natural habitat. And here's my question; if you have dumbass parents that do that, WHY DO YOU HAVE KIDS?

Dude, I don't like kids that much either, but to say that is pretty damn sick, joking or not. They don't deserve to be abused or mistreated at such a young age.

While I do enjoy a dark joke from time to time, that was just tasteless. There comes a time when dark humor crosses the line and you should realize that "a shocking joke" is bound to offend someone, especially when it's about something as serious as this.

This isn't 4chan or Encyclopedia Dramatica you know.

Well I'd hate to get serious but nobody senses sarcasm through a screen. Jokes like that are something I, let alone anyone here, have no tolerance for as I see shit like this every single day.

When George Carlin or Lewis Black use dark humor, it's to an end. Trust me, I've laughed at more tasteless jokes than this. But the thing is that they were actually jokes. What you have is a pointless non-sequitor that added nothing to this dialogue and without a decent context. If you just walk into a room and say "Knock, knock, who's there, Holocaust," people aren't gonna laugh.
