Because theres a lack of actual topics in the SOS forum this year....

Iizuka is coming back to SOS. Dreadknux made the announcement about two hours ago, to quote what he has said...

Ladies and gentlemen, the king is back! We’re honoured to announce that Takashi Iizuka, leader of the Sonic Team in Japan, will be a special guest at the Summer of Sonic 2012.

Iizuka-san first appeared at Summer of Sonic in 2011, to celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog’s 20th Anniversary alongside fans. After the event, he told us that he had a fantastic time – so much so that he wants to come back and do it all over again!

Having been involved with the Sonic the Hedgehog series since Sonic 3 on the Sega Mega Drive, Iizuka-san certainly knows what makes the blue blur tick. He has most recently produced a string of successful titles consisting of Sonic Colours, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, Sonic Generations and Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II.

Fans will be able to meet with Iizuka-san on the day, and be able to watch a Q&A on stage where he will answer a selection of questions. More details on the Q&A – as well as how you can get your question answered – will be announced shortly.

Yup, you read that right, Mr Iizuka is returning to party with all us maniacs at SOS, and he really can party, you should see him moonwalk, it's amazing! And... he can create time... *thinks back to last year when he proclaimed 'we shall make time' at last years SOS following the signing.*

What an awesome dude Iizuka san is. Terrible game designer but an absolute bro. I don't mind queing for hours just to meet him and say thankyou for the games.

Glad to see Iizuka san return, still have my photo on my wall ofme meeting him last year. Hope to have the same again.

For the record if anyone was thinking of asking it, Iizuka's fave boss in Gnerations is Pefect Chaos (taken from the Generations game guide interview). Lessens the obvious questions.

Ask him when we'll truly have other playable characters done RIGHT who really interact with eachother and the compelling plot.

Ask him how he feels knowing that so many Sonic fans are bitching about his direction with games even though none of them could actually, in all likelihoods, do any better no matter how convinced they are that they could. :V
