Hey guys, i was looking through my old art and stumbled accross my sonic models. After making my rushed animation for college they have just been sitting around, and I really want to make pics/aniamtions with them, but super stuck on ideas.

This is the aniamtion i had created them for: (bear in mind that this project was rushed, and i am well away there are huge flaws in it)

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...ed/02o6incbo88" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> (okay it wont embed so heres a link --> )

and here are some pics of the models I made for it. (all of these models were made from scratch, not editing or using any official sega models, thats why they looks a bit weird lol)

Heres Sonic:

Tails: (used no reference at all for him cause i was pushed for time :S)

Knuckles: (probably the weakest of the three.. hah irony)

And finally Shadow: (who I believe is the best of the bunch in my opinion, i guess it's the shiny bits, they make it that much better)

(im really sorry if this is too many images on a post, i wasnt sure how to do the spoiler thing, and im still pretty new at this forum)

the models were all made in cinema 4D and took about 3 weeks to make combined, great fun though Posted Image So anyway, any ideas on what I can do with them? (thanks for reading Posted Image)

I like them a lot. Sonic looks a bit off from the front, but the rest are really impressive. Great job.

I suppose you could build a game with them in blender.

You say you have an animation I can view in your OP, but how do I view it?

Yeah ill probably run over them again to improve, sonic always looked off at the front when i was building him, such a pain to get right XD, thanks for the comment.

Oh man, looking spiffy. Do you still make 3D models and the such? Make anything else lately?

Hey! These models are looking pretty good! If your main interest is with animation, then i would be interested in seeing something that you say isnt rushed.

My best advice would be take any 10-20 second sound clip and animate the characters to that. After that will prob be able to offer some better advice/ideas :)

Keep it up!

actually that is a brilliant idea, i know there are tons of unused character lines and clips from the sonic games, if i could just get my hands on some of them that could be interesting, thanks for the feedback!

also, just want to say your 3D sonic work is amazing, a real inspiration :D

That was rushed?! Well I can only imagine what your work would look like if you took your time! Your "rushed" work looks great...I'm sure that work that you take your time in would be outstanding! I'm not seeing these huge flaws you are talking about. I enjoyed it very much. Your models are impressive too! Keep up the excellent work! Posted Image

These are seriously some of the best fanmade models I've ever seen. Also, the animation in the video is really smooth and the movements of the characters look pretty natural. Amazing work!

These are nice models, but I'd like to see more hand movements. They seem "stiff" at times.
