I still don't understand the point of the roundtables. Why can't they just reveal that news at their press conference and let that be the end of it? They always tend to allow the press to live blog the news revealed there and take the odd photo/video footage, so what's the point?

Time constraints and more in-depth focus on specific information that needs to be weeded out from press conferences for the sake of other big reveals. Also some Q&A and development interviews.

Sony lacking one of these is mostly why I find their conferences so fucking boring. Watching 20 minutes of whatever big game they have announced every 30 minutes is a chore and there's no sense of flow.

I wonder if Sega might do a Total War game in the style of the Time Commanders control map? The tablet could be an old fashioned war map with squares and triangles for bunches of units with the normal Total War view on the TV.

It could be all about major historical events, from the Greeks and Romans to Imperial America and Japan, and have extra stuff for people who want to know more about those events, so it'd end up as a history lesson and a game all at once.

I'd buy it.

Will 3DS have a strong presence at the show tomorrow? Yesterday's pre-show made it sound like 3DS would not get much if any show, and that they were gonna talk about 3DS at later unannounced events.

If so, that freakin sucks. Since I'm planning on getting a 3DS next week and wanted some cool E3 reveals.
