Be funny if EA bought them. Won't happen though.

Seriously, companies change hands all the time. As long as they keep punching out the goods, people will be none the wiser.
Unless EA buys them. Then we're pretty much screwed.

Blizzard has actually done a lot for the computer gaming scene and for the industry as a whole. Activision - although disliked - has contributed a lot as well but I don't see it going anywhere. I can understand it's the 'cool thing' to hate on the company as a whole if only because of Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, but they're not exactly valid reasons to slam them.

Contrary to popular belief, Activision did not 'buy' Blizzard, in fact for all intents and purposes the reverse happened: Vivendi, Blizzard's parent company, bought a majority stake in Activision and formed a holding company, Activision-Blizzard, to house the pair. Now, the rumour mill is grinding that Vivendi is getting a bit short of cash and is considering selling off assets, of which Activision is one of them.

Whether it will actually happen is anyone's guess.

Sad... Activision have been around as long as I have been gaming.. and Blizzard have nothing but quality titles..

*sigh* Gaming is in trouble.. no one really wooed E3, a bunch of companies are in trouble.. I guess if EA buys Activizzard it would be a good time to call it quits with gaming..

Guys, the rumour centers around Activision. Blizzard is not involved.
