I wonder if any you guys remember this from previous years?

http://i44.photobuck...pg?t=1340580463

Well for those not in the know, this is a sketchbook I usually carry around with me (or let roam amongst the crowds) that I ask people to draw in, I see it as a celebration of all the great artists to come from the Sonic fandom (as well as professional. It also embodies the awesome spirit of sonic fans I meet at SOS as I've had so many nice people draw in it, not once have I gotten the typical immature doodles drawn within it and for that I'm incredibly happy. (okay maybe once, but let's push that under the rug for the rose tinted happy days yeh?)

So once again I'm bringing the book to SOS again, well a new version at least, I like to keep a separate record of each year even if I don't completely fill up the book. It'll be brand spanking new and with a new logo to go along with it.

Here's the dA page with all the submissions from previous years http://soncomsketchb...deviantart.com/

I'll really appreciate it, if once again if you amazing people would take some time to draw in it, it doesn't matter about your art skill or how long you take, so feel free to draw to your heart's content if you ever come across the book! (and of course if you have a dA, write it in the book besides your drawing, can't let it go without credit after all!)

EDIT:

Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce the logo for this year's sketchbook!

Broken link?

[EDIT] Working now. Might have to come and ruin the sketchbook with a Silver Sonic or some other lesser-know character!

I don't know what just happened, I uploaded it to photobucket as well and tried that but it still doesn't lose that large gap of nothing. Oh well a link should suffice methinks.

EDIT: I AM AN IDIOT.

hang on, this might have something to do with the link's broken topic going on at the moment, i just pasted the correct link, but its erasing the last 3 letters from the link with full stop's

hopefully the admin's will sort out this problem!

The picture was working fine before.

Go to the image on your photobucket. The problem is caused when you edit a post with a long link, even if you don't touch it. I suggest you edit your post. Put in this...

urlhere change the < and > to [ and ]

And then also re post the link to your DA account.

otherwise just post the pics url like this...

http://i11.photobuck...estventura2.jpg

And we can just click that to get to it.

its something to do with hotlinking from here Hogfather, it automatically replaces the last 3 letters with full stops in the URL link, there's a topic been opened about it, something bmn is looking into.

It's normally with him. Still funny how I jump bumped into you last year. I'll make sure to bring a pencil this time and draw something more cooler. ;D

There will be a Help Desk on the day, we could ask people to sign it there? Or maybe somewhere in the art area, where one of our staff can look after it..?

Oh! I forgot there was an art area, I wouldn't mind leaving it there, not too sure I'd want someone going through the trouble of looking after it all day. I'm sure if I just left a sign with it people would respect it, it's only a sketch book after all.

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to say I uploaded the first post with the new logo that you can look out for on the day : D I'll also post a picture of the sketchbook once that's completed.

If it does get left in one area, that would be absolutely great, because I would love to be able to do a doodle in it, but am a little shy of approaching people!

*edits* Dayam thats one cute logo! Relevant to summer 2012 too, given the fact Tails is actually awesome to play as in Episode 2!

@Helenbaby Helen you are always welcome to draw in the book! and @Anthony D. yep yep I made him take the spotlight since it's Tails 20th birthday this year! (which means Knuckles will take center stage next year!)

Also with only a day or so to go I present to you the NEW SONIC COMMUNITY SKETCHBOOK! I'm sorry the logo is a bit wonky and off, the printer used was a bit off and my hand is not made for cutting things, but hey it still looks nice right? XD

Posted Image

Please feel free to come up to me if I'm holding the book or doodle in it if you see it lying somewhere, also pass it to your friends to anyone you see drawing! I always aim to fill up the book and hopefully we can do that this weekend!

EDIT: I added some signs to the book XD so yeah this is what you should be on the outlook for!
