Someone has just asked in the comments to Brad's post about the new dev diary if 2 people can play on the same console when on online play, did Steve confirm or not wether you can do that? I cant remember.

I think the answer to that is no, if memory serves. Can't remember when, specifically, but not too far back.

I buy Games TM, it should be out tomorrow but it's possible it arrived early somewhere. They suffer from some sort schizophrenia at times due to the vastly different opinions of their writers. They also seem to have an inferiority complex about appearing serious next to Edge magazine and tend to overcompensate. It'll be interesting to read what their review says properly but I've already decided I'm buying ASR anyway, no matter the opinion of the UK's second best multiformat magazine.

Hey, I just found some content-relevant model renders that may be relevant to your interests!

Guise, guise! My fantastical concept-art-and-model-render-wizardry-powers are so strong that I'm able to find content for games that aren't even released yet.

Antony Ward is a modeler currently working on Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, and he was kind enough to post some renders of some of the vehicles featured in-game! He also hinted towards some character artwork in the future... apparently the ability to tease fans runs strong in Sumo Digital blood!

OMG OMG OMG AWESOME. Such sexiness.



WIP versions! Also neat.

Oh, and I'm still hunting for more concept art you guys! Once I reach enough pics, I'll release an expansion pack to my previous download.

Feel free to check out some of the new stuff on that thread while you're there - more stuff has been found since Shadz' update!

Ha! I just noticed that the steering wheel on the Avacar has A, B, Y, X buttons and a control stick in their respective locations. Nice touch!

Oh how awesome.

Glad they got rid of that middle "spine" on Sonic's car, it looks way better with just the two fins. And I love Beat's turntable lifting up to reveal more speakers underneath.

Gotta love the attention to detail on the rides though. I give special kudos to the design behind Beat's (at what point is it a portable stereo than a kart) and Knuckles ATV. I never noticed the two "knuckle's" on the front tires. Boss.

Trufax - I went to school with Ant Ward, we've been friends for years.

Note quite a few of those shots aren't how the cars ended up, for example we had to lose the Xbox Guide button off the Avacar wheels.

Cool stuff, he's a bloody good artist that lad.

SEGA and Sumo Digital have aways said its a DLC pre-order bonus for PS3 and Xbox 360 I'm afraid.

All versions have the forklift as Ryo's All Star Move though.

I dont know if this was already known or not but the PS blog (europe) has just updated and has shown that the S&SASR demo will be up later today, cannot wait to play it!

Also, I wonder what the second playable character will be?

Accoring to PEGI the game contains violence lol! PEGI also list online play for the PC version which S0L says isnt in that version and they're also not listing online play for the DS version. PS3 version is missing too.

So I played the demo four times through last night and began using the reverse view when making jumps and pulling off tricks. Anything to keep the demo fresh until the game releases.

The EU PS Store normally doesnt update until between 5pm and 7pm GMT so we've got a bit of a wait yet.

S0L has hinted that the second character is "Sonic's major rival". That would be either Knuckles, Shadow or Eggman. I'm going with Eggman.
