Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Brought to you by Outrun 2/'06/XBLA devs, Sumo Digital
Still, there's always room for more awesome environments and characters via DLC, and the gameplay, while a bit closer to Mario Kart than I expected, is just as solid as any other kart racer out there. I can't wait until I get my hands on the finished product!

...Other than that, though, I'm even more sold on this game than I already was. It's been a long time since I played a kart racer that was challenging without making me yell furiously at my TV, and if the rest of the game plays like this demo then we totally have a winner. I am quite eager to try out the rest of the roster!

I will be amazed if SC5 doesn't land at least one DLC track. (Admittedly, I have already been amazed by the exclusion or inclusion of certain things over the past few months.) I'm hoping that there are at least some SC5 songs to buy from the shop (pre-DLC). The soundtrack is too varied and too good to not be included in some way!
Speaking of which, very first thing I'm going to do in this game is unlock and switch the music for all Seaside Hill tracks. Catchy as the default Heroes tune is, I'll be hearing it a lot over the next two weeks...

When the Race is slow and few weapons are being fired...he complains and taunts you. "Wake me up when you guys really start racing."
When there is a lot of chaos going on he goes "What happened to love and peace!?!?!?!? Why is the world So angry?"
So basically this post is just here to say that, In my book, this announcer is Win
THAT BASTARD WAS TAUNTING ME. I don't know why, but it's taking some time to get used to the feel of this game. I was a god in Mario Kart, it's not transitioning. Of course, I don't know if these guys setting the times are playing on Beginner difficulty or not. I've been going with Advanced where the rubber-banding is in full play.

Difficulty settings. PS3 demo. Lack of Banjo on other demos. Gold/Silver Members situation.
Go. Read. Have a slice of cake.

Thankoo and your working on your Birthday? I hope they are holding an after work party for ya, anyway Happy Birthday
Wow, what a difference.
I can't look at Mario Kart with the same fondness ever again. ASR looks so much more fun to play. It's faster, more intense, and just as wacky and unpredictable!
Sumo Digital, I tip my hat off to ye.
Of course, Ive said it before and I'll say it again: SASAR is better than any Mario Kart game due to the simple fact that I have hardly any nostalgic connection to any Nintendo franchise. Yeah, I can see the fun in playing Mario Kart, but the characters and tracks don't touch me like hedgehogs and checkered hills do.
And when Sega touches you, it's GOOOOOOD!

Though in a streak of luck, I bested my last time again (Thank God no Jiggies falling from the sky. Got a 3:08:798
Though the only thing I dislike about the game is when I'm drifting on the very edge of a curve sometimes (staying on the track though mind you), it registers that I fell off the track (luckily it doesn't take forever and a half to get put back on the stage like Mario Kart).

Can't agree anymore.
I'm hoping that Sumo's next game is actually SASAR2, or at least that they put dev time into making a sizable expansion pack for PS3 and 360 owners. Six more tracks from 2-3 new IPs (NiGHTS, Space Channel 5 and Daytona USA), twenty new missions and three more racers (pick and choose from NiGHTS, Ristar, Joe Musashi, Gilius or the Hornet) would be totally worth a $15-$20 price, IMO.

I just want to hear Supersonic Racing again.
Seriously, though, I'm hoping we ALSO get an option to switch out that theme, wherever it will eventually appear. I was afraid it would pop in during the opening cut scene, so its absence was a pleasant surprise. I don't mean to rag on the guy or his fans, I just don't like his style myself. Besides, I've already got my favorite Sonic game vocalist and he has yet to be topped.
...also, I had a good laugh the first time I
I love you guys.

@SOL
This is defenitly a Mario kart killer. Seriously I was so enthousiastic the whole playthrough of this game. I can't remeber how long it has been since I was playing a real triple a quality game starring sonic in it. I love this friggin game and cannot wait because this game will be an instant fucking buy for me. LOVE YOU SOL and of course the whole crew at SUMO DIGITAL
Honestly I am a bit dissapointed with the track selection. Too many of the same theme's... I hope this will get a sequal.
This game is allready getting great feedback from (the neutral) people. Look at the gametrailers comments. I really think this is going to be a BIG HIT.
