Where did I say that I treat you like that huh?

Well you started off your paragraph with this for starters:

Screw you guys

Yes it does. Practically nothing, but I mentioned it cause I mentioned that Sa2 is one of the best 3D titles. I already saw people praising modern games and felt like I need to point out that modern games are not exactly 3D and that Colors basically doesn't have 3D gameplay.

........And what does a game being 3D or 2D have to do with anything talked about in this topic? Other than the fact that it's something you happen to prefer for some reason.

Don't get so worked up OK? I'm not the only person in this thread who said they still love Sa2. Why you decided to get so nervous after my post is beyond me and I don't think it's prohibited to express love for the game in this thread. Is there any more stupid nitpicks dear sir?

No, but you are the only person who feels they need to deride other games when they don't have much of anything to do with the topic in the first place; I would have left well enough alone if you didn't constantly do this.

Don't know why everyone is shitting bricks, if you don't like it, fine.

if you do, great.

Then again, if you don't, I suggest you look forward to the PC version. That way YOU can mod the game as it suits you.

Why waste time modding a game I don't like when there are games out there that I do?

Well, I guess that's good for you.

I, on the other hand, like modding for the purpose of improvement.

That's exactly what I've been trying to sort out.
Some, I guess, just post for the sake of arguing their opinions.
(though, honestly, there really isn't much wrong with that.)

Sonic Adventure 2 was probably the best 3D Sonic game, but you still can't compare it to the greatness of the classics. True fact, bro, true fact.

And it really IS a 3D game with 3D gameplay. Nothing misleading like Colors when people call it a 3D game and I find out it's mostly in 2D.

3D you say?
Let's take a look at how most of that 3D looks like now shall we?

Linear, claustrophobia inducing, streamlining pathways.
This is barely 3D. All the advantages you could get from a 3 dimensional plane are destroyed.
And since the camera is still behind the back, all the aspects that were in 2D are also gone.
This is as dull as you can get.
Of course you do have the mech-shooting and treasure hunting levels which are more open in design. But those sucked now didn't they?

Colors did the right move of being mostly 2D. Because Sonic Team doesn't know how to make good 3D levels.

Uuuh, Sky Sanctuary...Seaside Hill...Chemical Plant was linearity done right...City Escape was a mostly 3D stage, it was fun if not a bit bland...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they know how to make decent 3D Levels.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they know how to make decent 3D Levels.

A few examples from 3D blast, Adventure 1, Heroes and Generations were decent, yes.
But if you do compare them to some of their 2D work (namely, the Genesis games) they'd seem rather plain.

But yes, Modern Sky Sanctuary was a brilliant 3D level.

Those levels you point to as being good I all found boring. No character, just a serise of places. Hallways, and sometimes there are little spots here and there where they end and you can go to another one. City escape had that stuff at the begenning, but really?

Whoop, was at Xenos.

At this point I seriously doubt that holds any water since the original team that made the Genesis games is no longer around at Sonic Team dude. Can't compare their 2D work to their 3D work when the folks behind the 2D aren't there.

While it is true it's debatable if those levels are really THAT great, it proves they can make 3D levels without relying on 2D that much. Sky Sanctuary and Seaside Hill each only had 2 and if you took the fastest path they only lasted 6 seconds.
