I'd love Vaati to return actually, he's my favourite recurring villain.
However I'm a total canon whore, if it was confirmed I'd know about it and would be trying to explain it to everyone like I do with the split timeline.

If it is confirmed and I didn't know then someone please enlighten me, but I'm 99% sure it's just a fanmade theory.

Well perhaps the Triforce of Power has a connection to Moblin then. In any case I don't think we're completely sure what caused his beast form. :P

So am I, and wherever I go, everyone says that when The Minish Cap came out, it was intended to take place before the events of Ocarina of Time. I've read up a ton of stuff, too, perhaps not as much as you, and everywhere I have gone people have mentioned that MC essentially was intended to be the first chronological game in the series.

Either way, I'm so totally watching that footage.

...hmm... going slow. Looks pretty good, actually, but the Master Sword looks incredibly long here. Also, is Link holding the sword in the exact same way that the player is? It sure looks like it, because he's holding it very awkwardly. xD

Oh yeah... music is completely out of place. I do NOT think that its the game's actual music, or at least, I don't think its that area's music. It was added by Gametrailers, I can guarantee it. Remember, its an off-camera.

Okay, done. That was awesome. I love how the stalfos puts the swords in different angles and you have to slash with the Wiimote in the correct direction. It also does seem to provide exact movements of your hand, as seen by how the player tries to wack the crap out of certain enemies, even the stalfos, and finds difficulty in doing so. Now I'm really worried about the difficulty of Darknuts... dang...

You can even tell because the video often jumps around and the music continues through the whole thing. I still hope that's part of the soundtrack though because it is absolutely sexy.

Someone in the comments section said the music was from "Lord of the rings" =P

In terms of difficulty, I'm hoping this'll be like any other Zelda - challenging for your brain, not your thumbs.

I've read up a ton of stuff, too, perhaps not as much as you, and everywhere I have gone people have mentioned that MC essentially was intended to be the first chronological game in the series.

And yet not a single official interview or statement from Nintendo to back that assumption up, unlike the Split Timeline and WW - PH - ST.

Reading something like that everywhere is like reading that TP depicts the great flood, it may be commonly agreed on but it's not truth unless Nintendo say so. I have no reason to believe Minish Cap is set first. Plus I just plain don't like that there was a world before OoT with all these characters from other games, and a hero/villain/lore that are essentially completely forgotten. I mean a sword as important as the Four Sword seemingly completely forgotten for tons of centuries just doesn't seem likely. It seems that events in that part of the timeline that are extremely important, and they form the core of the Zelda chronology. With a game like Minish Cap mixed among them, it just feels like it loses any future meaning it could have if it were later on.

I think difficulty is a necessity for both aspects of the game. Of course, it doesn't have to be Ninja Gaiden or Castlevania hard, but the threat of death should actually EXIST unlike Twilight Princess.

To me, Zelda enemies, particularly the bosses, should have two challenges. One would be the struggle of deducing how to fight the boss where the other is actually doing it, and there are some Zelda games in recent history(namely Twilight Princess) where it doesn't follow through with the latter. If I'm not challenged, then the sense of reward I would get for killing the boss is diminished. It's really not as fun for me when I've gotten through a boss fight unscathed or missing a heart, tops.

Actually, I don't even think I died in Twilight Princess once until I committed suicide just to see what it was like.

It's just my personal opinion, but I'd like a more difficult game this time around.

I haven't been dissapointed in a game like this one in a long time. Those graphics look like garbage. Gamecube era. I have no doubts the gamplay will be great. It isn't just about gameplay with Zelda for me. The story and graphics need to be timeless. What a terrible first impression. And Link looks so dumb...
I'm pissed... <_<

They really better spice up the power of the graphics.
And please don't let Toru Minigeshi touch the music.

I haven't posted in here yet, and I'm a massive LoZ fan! Just didn't want to get into discussions about recurring villains and yada yada. D:

So, I really like what I see. Like Noir said the backgrounds do look like they're painted, so the game isn't exactly a cel shaded style. I'm glad about that, because I'm pretty fed up of the cel shaded anime eye stuff anyway. >.>

The gameplay looks very interesting, especially now I can see how it properly works. I think this might actually be quite a tough Zelda game, because of how you have to hit the enemies and stuff. Hmm, interesting~

I've been wanting to get into the Legend of Zelda series for sometime now i've never NEVER played a Legend of Zelda game before and I'm really interested with this game,Graphics looks really amazing for an E3 beta build hopefully that it will be even better in the final build of the game, Gameplay looks interesting too really going to keep my eye on this game really looking forward to seeing much more of this game

Those graphics look like garbage. Gamecube era

They look freaking amazing for a Nintendo Wii game on par with PS3/360 Graphics (well 50/50 in between) I'm really not bothered about graphics all the time but in terms of this game they look really good SMG2 & Sonic Colours good I must say

Troll sense... tingling... somewhat... not sure wat do.

How someone can look at a game that looks quite literally like playing through a painting and think it's garbage is honestly beyond me. Must everything push hardware to its limits? Is it a crime to do something creative?

Better walkthrough of the demo, the area looks a lot bigger than I expected. It's absolutely stunning looking, too, this no doubt is going to be the prettiest Zelda yet. Hopefully by the time the game is finished it looks even better, because there are a few things, such as the leaves, that need working on. Otherwise, good show, glad to see this looking the tops.

My paintings aren't filled with crappy low poly models, paper thin obvious "videogame trees" aliasing and shitty texturing. The shot is so game-y looking it's not even funny.

I'm not talking about an amazing professional painting. It's clear though that the game's style is meant to look like an impressionist painting.

You're complaining about the graphics looking like they're from the Gamecube era when the Wii is BARELY more powerful than a Gamecube. It's not really capable of much more.

It doesn't even look like an impressionist painting. Sure, it looks inspired by one, but saying that it looks like one is a completely differant thing, it's nowhere near that level of graphical prowess.

That doesn't make his complaint any less valid, seeing as the Gamecube was released in 2001, you'd hope 9 years later we'd have moved on.

Then I used the wrong word, but surely we can agree it does look inspired by an impressionist painting, and that's at least a nice and unique style?

And I agree with that, but the point I was trying to make was that this is a Wii game so it can't really be helped. It's bound to have graphical shortcomings.

For what it's worth though, I think Nintendo did a great job making due with what they have.
