When did everybody else become a fan or hear of the show? just out of curiosity.

I gave this show a shot after hearing so many amazing things about it in June... I think. As it turns out, the show was amazing, and now I'm a fan.

Anyways, I just learned today that there's a fan (other than myself) somewhere in my school. I started a little Pinkie Pie sculpture (a pretty damn terrible sculpture) in Pottery as a little side project of sorts (because coil pots suck), and then today I find a note next to my terribad sculpture saying, "Hey bronie! BrohooF". I thought that was pretty cool.

I've derailed many an A/V Club meeting arguing with the secretary about Ponies. But today, while getting lunch, I heard a couple of people that I don't know talking about Twilight.

I got into the show, eh, about a month a go, when Vinyl told me about in on Facebook. As I had seen how big of a meme it had become, and how many adult males were watching it, I figured what the heck, and watched the first few episodes. I literally had to drag myself away from the computer so I didn't watch all of season 1 in a single sitting. I finished the season relatively quickly, before joining the topic and changing my name/avatar. Now all I have left to become a full-out brony is assume the identity of a pony and roleplay constantly as though I was him/her, buy the toys, and write a fanfic. Oh, and announce it publicly. (I probably won't buy any toys or announce it publicly, but I might try the other two.)

You've been a fan since October? dang. When did everybody else become a fan or hear of the show? just out of curiosity.

Word of mouth over the internet. I was wondering why in the hell people loved this, and decided to avoid it... However when I learned that one of the main forces behind Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends was the creator of this show, I admit, I was a bit interested, so I gave it a shot.

However, since I was unaware that I needed to watch it in order, I ended up watching the first episode that appeared when I typed in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic... Which ended up being the season finale for the first season. The bronies in this topic scolded me for doing so... (Actually almost made me want to hate to series just to piss off them off. Yeaaah, I'm really that immature, aren't I? =( ....)

Several months later I decided to watch the first five episodes, and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed... At first anyway. A week later, It was almost as if it was beginning to sink in, and eventually, I decided (As I have said a few pages ago...) "Screw it all, I love this show."

And... Here I am right now. I hope you guys are happy that I love a show aimed for little girls.

Cause I know I am.

Honestly it was Derpy that got me to give in and watch the show back in March. I remember coming across this infamous fan animation of Derpy "delivering" mail and thinking it was a scene from an actual episode.



I figured if it included such an ridiculous character it's definitely a bit more appealing to my interests than the old shows. Sadly, that clip never happened(yet) but I joined the herd anyway.

It was this thread that finally made me break down and watch the show after hearing about it for a few weeks. Just the subtitle alone ("Manly Show For Manly Men") made me laugh enough to give it a try. It took a few episodes, but I was hooked.

I think what the best thing, to me, about the show is the art direction.

Not only does the simplicity make the show very appealing to the eyes, but naturally it make the characters with defining features even more noticeable, and naturally makes fanart easier to create.

I also enjoy the dedication those behind the show have towards the fans, and the alertness they have when it comes to things fans talk about and such. (Like lil' Derpy, etc.) That devotion and awareness of/to the fans is commendable, in my opinion.

I find that comic art to be as average as the fic it's inspired from.

And I don't even know what Equestria War Z is... but that title doesn't really inspire me to find out. (says the shonnen nut lololol Togashi I liek One Piece Toriko is gay but that's actually something good)

When I first heard of the show, it was before I was on this board. It was in the middle of summer, where I was bored as fuck. Sonic Paradox made their dub of the first episode, and I thought the new show was a parody of the older series. When I found out it wasn't, I was scared to give it a chance. Then I found out that people were going crazy over it and knew that I had to see it. Started with the first episode. Spent the next week or so inside watching the rest.
