Well, I became a brony in early 2011 with Stare Master being the first episode I saw with everyone else. During the first hiatus, I just kind of looked at fan works, rewatched episodes and kind of started to lose some interest. But not this hiatus! Oh no, this hiatus I'm going to post overly detailed in depth analysis at random things related to ponies. Pairings, fanfics, the fandom itself, pony economics, types of episodes, world building, comedy, slapstick, the show when it comes to gender role, previous generations, MLP knockoffs, characters, anything. Some planned, some on a whim. With this idea, there's no way I can lose my pony lovin' steam HAHA!

In short, to avoid pony withdrawal this hiatus, I will...

Speaking of which, I'm a bit worried for it. How credible is the rumor that S3 will be only 13 episodes? It seems so lame and untruthful...

As of now, there's not a lot of info on that. There has been a ton of speculation and rumors going around, Such as Studio B looking for new writers at the end of last month (May or May not be for My Little Pony) others saying that two different studios will be animating half the series (Don't really know how that works, but I'm not very savy on the knowledge on myself.)

I don't want to say anything get anyone's hopes up or rain on anyone's parade... I'll just leave it at that and say It's still pretty unclear at the moment. If this show's supposed to end, I'm hoping it wont end with two and a half season.

I decided to watch the first two episodes last November. I was kind of freaked out at how much I was loving a show about ponies, with their cute faces, classic cartoony moments, incredibly likeable characters... I already like this kind of cartoons, but... Ponies?! Before I looked at them as adorably epic creatures, they were like quadruped Barbies or something! I knew I loved the show, but didn't want to be a massive fan. Only in February I decided to follow the whole season. Watched it in a week. No regrets. Even made a fanvideo, if you didn't check it already.

So this will be my first time without new episodes. In the Summer, I'll probably push ponies aside, do something else, until Season 3 starts again, and I find myself again interested to go and watch it.

OR!

I love the show so much that, as I patiently wait for Season 3, I'll check out fan stuff from time to time, re-watch episodes, show them to my family, make pony fan stuff of my own, and try and do something else (ponies aren't everything; there's also Sonic, heheh).

Woah, everything went better than expected...

I would like to add a few things to my post.

Well I came in during like Mid July at the halfway point of S1-S2 hiatus, so I had plently of time to alowly take in S1 and wait patiently for S2.

This time it's different though. Not only has my love everything G4 pony related grown exponentially, but I've also kept up with every episode as of far and even bought all of S2. I guess one thing I will do is buy S1 and rewatch the entire series (Can you believe there's a few episodes I've only seen once? Madness!) and get a more proper opinion on individual episodes, and maybe even write 10 page reviews for each season. I will totally be here for all the madness, roleplay, clopping, rape jokes, heated debates and shipping wars anyone can handle as well as the Season 3 speculations.

This, reminded me that I forgot to post my experience when I joined in July, and truth to be told the first weeks were quite easy on me because at that time I was watching around 2 or 3 episodes per week so I had plenty of pony to keep myself busy with.

By the time I was done I think (I THINK) the hype for season 2 was alive and kicking.

Ehh, that's not that much of a rumor, we only have 13 episodes confirmed so far...

That could mean many things like.

1) The other episodes were not completed yet.
2) The other episodes were not announced yet.
3) Season 3 will indeed, have only 13 episodes and the show ends.
4) Season 3 will have 13 episodes but the show will still keep going, just with less episodes than the first 2 seasons (might also have shorter breaks than the one we are about to have).

Also, I totally forgot to comment about your video True Blue, it was quite entertaining and I hope you do something similar with the rest of the mane 6, the only thing I would change is the intro... That music gets quite annoying and it keeps going for some time, for a moment I thought the whole video was like that and I almost close the tab.

Ah darn it, you posted before I could gato but yeah, if anyone didn't notice the Edit in the post above mine, Seth got to be at the MLP Royal Wedding Event in California so click on the link gato posted and check it out because it sounds awesome.

It's so neat that some of the Hub people actually check EQD and the fact that they are hinting some cool merch makes me excited as well as them promising more cool stuff in the future dedicated to the Bronydom. *Crosses fingers* Derpy toy Derpy toy Derpy toy(With a little muffin)

Seth's words on the finale are getting me hyped like hell.

The season opener was an awesome two parter and if the season finale tops that then I will explode like a rocket... twice! Calling it the most epic two parter so far, comparing it to a high budget Disney movie and saying this is one you don't want to be spoiled about is just making me all giddy and hyper. The Hub's been going all out for this. Here's hoping the finale lives up to the hype!

Studio B looking for more writers...Interesting. I must've missed that news. I really do hope that a shows as great and with as powerful a following as this won't end with a measely 2.5 seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if they really are simply shortening seasons though. Jackie Chan Adventures for example, had 5 seasons, 4 of which had 13 episodes and 1 of which had 39 for some reason, all totaling 94 episodes. And Sonic X IIRC, had 3 seasons each with 26 episodes totaling 78. I doubt FiM is going anywhere any time too soon.

Yeah, if it does end early, at least it won't end up like poor Spongebob. But I do doubt it would end that early, considering how popular it is.

Also, I'm going to avoid Finale clips like the plague if it's really that great. I can't wait for the actual premiere!

Personally, I'm kinda conflicted when it comes to the series ending sooner... On one hand, More ponies, nuff said, I don't mind.

On the other hand, it's only a matter of time before they start to recycle morals and plots like Spongebob's been doing as of recently, and plus you never know what will happen when they get new writers... Characters would probably get Flanderized... I'm personally afraid Pinkie Pie will go from the sweet, fun loving pony we know her as, to a downright stupid character... This seems to be a curse with most comic relief I've seen on long tv series... Characters like Homer from the Simpsons and Cosmo from the Fairly Oddparents comes to mind.

Also, if there's an episode that does something that's not very fitting in this universe, such as having the mane six going into space to fight off aliens from another planet threatening to destroy Equestria with some doomsday device, or Twilight shrinks down and takes a fantastic voyage into Pinkie Pie's stomach to retrieve something she shouldn't have eaten, then that's I'd probably think they'd be running out of Ideas... I don't mind fanworks doing stuff you wouldn't see in the show since it's not canon, but if it's official... yeah, no.

Though if it does end, I'll probably feel that cancellation blues I had when I learned Teen Titans finished.

I just got finished watching part 3 of Turnabout Storm:

That was absolutely fantastic! Rarity's voice and personality was captured perfectly. The whole "Why aren't there more pens?" was hilarious! I really like how Pinkie Pie's and Applejack's personalities were captured, although I felt their voices were a bit off. It was great to see Derpy in there as well. Her poetry was pretty impressive. The jokes and humor were just brilliant as well. I loved the bit with the ladder and Pinkie Pie predicting Phoenix's line when they left Carousel Boutique. Sonata brought a very interesting twist into this story. I'm curious to see where this is going to go with her involved.

Applebuck Season or Call of the Cutie was one of the first episodes I saw.

Then I began to write fics by myself and read fics and see fanart by others.

I'm no PMV fan and I had to drop my PMV last year because I had no reviews.

Yeah, I'm avoiding everything spoiler. Have lately come across some stuff by accident (no clips, though), and it's getting hard not to feel spoiled.

For the sake of spoilers, the only thing I can say is that it is seriously the most epic two part we have received so far. Back to back, it feels like a Lion King style high budget Disney movie.

I wasn't sure if it would be epic, being about a wedding and all, but that statement and the publicity these two episodes are getting are two clear signs it will indeed be EPIC. And that we probably haven't seen anything yet.

I wonder if all the main characters will have good screen and character development time. I'd like to see Princess Luna have at least a line or two. If she was ever written in.

No, there aren't any leaks, that I know of. The Hub has been releasing some clips of the episodes, screenshots and trailers, which I'm avoiding. I'd prefer not knowing how the episodes will look like. But since the plot is the main thing, and since we already know it's good, and the internet hasn't been told in detail about it yet, we really haven't seen much for the moment.
