Could I help you with a suggestion? For point 69, Annoyance, you could draw something like Laharl being annoyed by a lovey-dowey speech by Flonne, how about that?

That's the exact type of thing I'm looking for, and it fits well with the chosen theme. I'll add it to the list as I've started filling in possible series/games that will fit that theme. I'm gonna try and pick a variety of characters and try not to overly repeat a specific franchise.

It seemed to be a good idea as a large number of the themes, I was able to think of Sonic examples. I'd think you guys would like to see art from other things every now and again.

91. Drowning has already been started. It's a recycled idea that I never got around to doing when I first attempted the 100 Themes Challenge. It's a pretty dark theme, so I wanted to add a lighthearted reference of the sheer panic that is induced once the drowning countdown takes place in the classic/2D Sonic games.

 

If anyone else wants to pitch an idea for a theme or two, I'll hear you out. Unless you want me to draw something very specific, I do take commissions so check out my post in The Artist Commission Thread and get back to me if your interested.

I was supposed to colour in the already complete sketches, but I felt like sketching some more before I forget too. This preview features all the sketches that need colouring, like the ones from the previous DLC update as well as the RosaRosaRosalina and Bender sketches from some months ago that I still need to colour.

 

The preview picture itself does look a little scruffy and I did write the names of the members from memory, so I might have spelled some names wrong.

 

So you might already be familiar with Bender, RosaRosaRosalina, Spin Attaxx, Brad, Xenos, FourCartridge, Rawrs and NGw00d.

The new sketches are as follows:

The majority of the new characters are original ones created by that member. They each have there own name, but I haven't learned them yet...

 

Even though Glenn made a big impact on my early days in SSMB, sadly I never really knew much about him personally. The major one being ethnicity. I'd hate to design a character based around a specific member with a certain ethnicity, only to learn later that I was completely wrong. There isn't much I can do about it though. It's hard to believe that he's been inactive for almost three years. He was writing a Shadow fan fiction, so that's why you see Shadow elements.

Meanwhile, Chaos Warp was planned to be a chibi zombie Ed Elric, but having completed the sketch without the zombie elements, I just wasn't sure if it would look good. The zombie factor was a reference to a previous avatar though.

I did see an image of an original character from a previous avatar of Ogilvie, but I could never find a full body picture, so I improvised the lower half, although the shorts and sandals are a reference to Ty the Tasmanian Tiger who has been a previous avatar of his on numerous times.

While Komodin as Sonic dressed as Link is pretty obvious, but I'll explain it anyway. He's been writing a cross-over fan fiction and has had avatars of him in that state. The chilli dogs are there due to the running gag of his avatars often having Sonic holding one.

 

The ones I haven't mentioned are original characters, owned by there represented member. Apart from Aero, who requested to be represented as Kyogre holding a sketchpad.

 

Now it's time to start colouring...

I remember you, I don't think you were active when I drew your character. I recall trying to see if I could contact you, but failing. There's also many posts that are missing from this thread, I don't know why, but posts over a period of several months disappeared from the boards, I wasn't active at the time.

Further progress was made, but at some point SSMB was growing more hostile and unpleasant that I canceled the project and left the boards quietly. It just so happens that your post would occur a couple of months after I decided to check back in again. The full image is still hidden in the thread someplace, but to makes things easier, I can upload it in this post.
