The word must be "Spilled". I'm not sure how it can be anything else. It also looks very House of Dead-y, though I don't know that much about House Of Dead, over than House of Dead: Overkill is on sale at the mo...

Well, you know the teaser that mentioned today?

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/435807/typing-of-the-dead-overkill-released-on-steam/

Yeah. Steam release.

Typing of the Dead: Overkill follows the same story of the Wii and PS3 lightgun shooter, but instead of shooting at zombies to kill them players have to type words that appear underneath them.

Okay...

At least it's going half price until the end of this month.

From the SEGA blog:

Get the latest SEGA mobile game from their iTunes StoreFront

"We’re proud to bring you the SEGA iTunes Store, making it even easier to browse our full catalog of mobile games for iOS! Pick up the latest mobile game for your iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

The only question you need to ask yourself: Which game are you missing from your ultimate, on-the-go collection?"

The icon fifth from the top right on the picture (below) says Sonic The Hedgehog 2, but it's actually Sonic Advance 2 artwork. Huh....

No, it's Sonic 2, the pre-Taxman version to be specific. S1 also used Advance artwork before the update.

SEGA didn't give 2 shits about the original releases. They're so lazy that they couldn't even use the right art.

I managed to get a copy of the Brand licensing Europe press kit for Segas booth...

Disapointment is quite accurate a description.

**BLE EXCLUSIVE ** FOOTBALL MANAGER – A BRAND NEW SIGNING FOR 2013!

The world’s greatest football management simulation game – Football Manager™ – is now offering exciting new licensing opportunities across the industry.  Coinciding with the launch of Football Manger 2014 on October 31st 2013 and Football Manger Classic 2014 for PS Vita, launching at a later date, the series has enjoyed unparalleled critical and commercial success.  Twelve games in the series are among the UK’s Top 20 fastest selling PC games of all time, while five are in the UK’s Top 20 best-selling PC games list.  SEGA is looking to license the Football Manager brand across apparel, accessories, publishing, gift and novelty items, as well as in licensed promotions.

Created by UK studio Sports Interactive, part of the SEGA group, with the assistance of almost 2,000 researchers across the world, Football Manger is heralded as the most realistic, in-depth and immersive football management title in the games market. The game allows players to take on all aspects of a real-life football manager role, deciding who plays, who stays on the bench and what the team’s tactics should be.

The game has an active and loyal fan base, predominately made up of male football fans, who (on average) devote more than 100 hours per year to their virtual career.  The game is sold globally, with a huge presence in Europe and strong growth in North America and Brazil, providing exciting opportunities for licensees from around the world.

"To our fan base Football Manager is much more than just a game, it's a large part of their lives, and as the sales of shirts from the Football League clubs we've sponsored over the past few years have shown, there is huge demand for the right goods bearing the Football Manager brand," says Miles Jacobson, Studio Director for Sports Interactive. "We're really excited to see where this campaign will take the Football Manager brand."

Sissel Henno, Head of Brand Licensing, SEGA, adds: “Football Manager is one of SEGA’s hottest gaming properties and we are hugely excited about presenting this new licensing opportunity.  We look forward to working with interested parties to create a vibrant and comprehensive licensing programme for this globally recognised brand which, we are sure will replicate the success of our Sonic licensed product portfolio.”

Sports Interactive and SEGA Europe have announced the most feature-packed and technically advanced release in the series’ history. Launching on 31st October Football Manager 2014™ will benefit from more than 1,000 improvements and enhancements over its most recent predecessor.  FM 2014 is the most realistic simulation of football management ever released and will be available for Windows PC, Mac and Linux.

For the first time in the series history, Football Manager Classic 2014 for PlayStation Vita will allow cross-save play , meaning that fans who own both versions of the game will have the option to carry on a single continuous game, whether they’re at home using their computer or out and about with their PlayStation Vita.

SEGA LICENSING PROPERTY GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

SEGA®’s Total War™ property has had a thrilling 2013.  The multi-million-selling Total War series is one of the most critically-acclaimed in gaming, with a legacy covering 12 years. The Total War videogame brand was developed by Creative Assembly, a SEGA owned development studio based in Horsham UK.  A drive for historical authenticity and superb gaming quality has helped establish the franchise as one of the most successful PC games of all time and Creative Assembly as a world leading developer of PC games.  The latest title from the studio TOTAL WAR™: ROME II was released in September.

Earlier this year the universe of the epic Total War™: ROME II expanded into the world of adult fiction.  SEGA brokered a four book deal with publishers Pan Macmillan to create a historical adventure series of novels based on the hugely popular game.  The first book, Destroy Carthage, penned by a renowned historical adventure novelist has been released along with the new Total War™: ROME II Collector’s Edition.

The agreement with Macmillan is SEGA’s first foray into extending the reach of the Total War games into fiction; SEGA believe the series of books will attract new followers to the franchise, which already has a large, dedicated and loyal following.  SEGA and Pan Macmillan are working together to cross-promote the original novels, including innovative marketing within the game itself.

SEGA is now looking to further extend the TOTAL WAR license and is particularly interested in taking it into a board game format.  It welcomes interested parties to visit its BLE stand.

Total War: ROME II is available now for the PC and is the latest in the acclaimed line of strategy games charging players with creating the most incredible war machine the ancient world has ever seen.  Playing either as Rome, or one of many barbarian, Greco-Roman or eastern empires arrayed against them, players must use all the military, political and mercantile power at their disposal to rule the known world.

The most pre-ordered game in the series’ history and winner of more than 20 E3 awards and nominations; ROME II was awarded the best in show strategy game by IGN, Destructoid and GameInformer as well as the E3 Game Critics’ to name a few.

With near half of all Total War players spending more than 50 hours on each game, ROME II attempts to feed those fans with a campaign map nearly twice the size of the previous title and 700+ individual unit types.

*Whistles* 140 million is a big number. Pretty impressive.

50 million of those are the number of times Sonic 1 has been ported to another system.

If you count the number of ports Sonic 2 has and the 2010 remake of Sonic 1, that number jumps to 61 million.

If you squint hard enough you can probably make out the merch?

Where did these photos come from? The people who made their booth put them on their website.

Also a really interesting one is the photo they use for their background on the sonic booths page. You can make out what appears to be merchandise for football manager.

It's the same old stock art they throw around everywhere, but to absolutely great effect this time. Cool stuff.

Well. Even if I'm 99% positive I'd never actually do any licensing... a part of me wants to attend the licensing expos simply for the awesome stuff like that.

But who knows. I'd have to look into the exact costs to make a precise determination. For now I'm sticking with retail.

Wow, this topic's been quiet lately.

I downloaded 'Live Sonic wallpaper' exclusively for android from Google Play. SEGA advertised this on their blog back in December.

On the wallpaper, Sonic blinks occasionally and sort of chuckles. Those two stars above the present (he's holding) appear and disappear, and that circle with 'happy Sonic' on it spins around the big main green circle if you touch it.

It's kind of lame though. It's supposed to make sounds if you tap your phone, but I haven't heard any sounds, and the app keeps freezing on my mobile. So I've uninstalled it.

I like the idea of Live Sonic Wallpaper, but this was a waste of £0.73. Has anyone else here downloaded this?

Note: I am in the process of making the new Sega 2014 topic.

It will have a slightly better OP since I intend to include some key dates and examples of when discussion should probably move from this topic to it's own one.

And I was just about to post it... when I accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut and lost it.

So keep bunging it all in here until the new one is up and I'll copy/paste it or something when it's up and running.

Interesting, it's like the 20th anniversary app from iOS without the Sketchhog game right? I'm saving the app for later.

I bought it as well, saw how it looked on my phone, and uninstalled it a couple of minutes later.

Definitely not worth a dollar.
