The stage themes do seem consistent with the removed stages of old games.

Anyone else getting a small feeling that this may be the fate of Little Planet? Stretching things quite far, but god damn, that planet is seriously like some harminous marriage of Little Planet and all the crazy shit from Super Mario Galaxy! So hyped already.
