Morgan Freeman.

Will Ferrell.

Liam Neeson.

In the same movie, that's just too awesome. Being a diehard LEGO fan, this movie is going to be my favourite from 2014 so far.

I really don't know how, as I thought that a movie about legos sounded really stupid.

But that trailer has the greatest thing I've seen in a while. The Humor, the animation and the overall creativity is really making this look like a very fun film...

I never thought I'd say this, but this is looking really awesome.

I hope there's a joke where someone steps on a lego piece on the floor and goes into a murderous rage

that shit hurts!

That trailer made me laugh my ass off, and the entire thing is done in stop motion. This is so brilliant, I have to see this.

Batman has made a huge mistake.

Anyway this looks incredibly awesome. Consider me pumped for this movie, I used to love playing with lego! I also love the look of the movie too.

My childhood based enjoyment has now come to life in this movie, and if Morgan Freeman is in it it is  going to be amazing.

It's actually full cgi rendered to look stop motion, which is brilliant.

Ah, that explains it. It's a neat effect--kinda reminds me of the Nicelanders in Wreck it Ralph, or the way a few characters are animated in Smash Bros.

This movie looks like a lot of fun. I swear the people working on this were told "you can use anyone who has been a LEGO figure" and they decided to go all out. Can't really blame them, and the result looks pretty cool so I'm not complaining.

also batman voiced by gob is incredible oh my god

Really liking the animation. Reminds me of Flushed Away but even nicer to look at. Looks like a fusion between stop motion and CGI, (even though it's all cgi, but still.) And it seems pretty funny too, I really liked CwaCoM so I think I'll be very entertained. I'll be looking forward to this.

If it was stop motion, the set crew would have quit when they were asked to rig that laser scene.

Said it already in the movie topic but I'm really looking forward to this.

Been vaguely interested in this for a  while, purely because Will Arnett is playing Batman (seriously, how cool is that?). I thought it'd be guff but would have went to see it just for that.

But this trailer just looks...so...frikkin fun. Definitly going to go see this. Seems like they've really taken advantage of the jokes that lego can offer (multiple franchises coming together as well as the generic models).

I never thought I'd be saying it, but it looks great.

Definitely going to be my favourite movie of 2014. Lego has always been one of my favourite toys from a child till even today! I'm so glas they didn't go the direction of those fully-CGI Lego features they've been bringing out for the last few years.

As a MASSIVE Lego fan, I am really excited for this movie! I love how it's stop motion with CGI effects.

I hope we get some Lord of the Rings and Star Wars Lego Minifigures in this film and I am expecting the main character to team up with the 4 TMNT turtles to beat up Shredder, DogPound, FishFace, and the Kraang.

This is 2014's Wreck-It Ralph. It'll be very good for us, but the plot'll be entirely predictable and a lot of people will come away disappointed with it.

People were disappointed with Wreck-It-Ralph?

How?

Predictable plot, poor voice acting, poorly realized game worlds.

Predictable plot

Depends on your perspective. I like Roger Ebert's view of 'It's not what a work is about but how it's about it.' It was pretty predictable but there was a lot of good elements and I felt for the characters. Plus it was funny. (Again, to me.)

The trailer for this one... I did not find funny or charming in the slightest. I love LEGO but there's something about this that makes me worried and cynical for it.

Edit: I guess I could say that my thoughts on Wreck-It Ralph was that it was more of a movie set in the video game world than a video game movie. Those who went in expecting the latter had a better time than those who expected the former, but it's partially the fault of the studio for not making it clear which of the two it was.

I'm going to say right now that I thoroughly enjoyed Wreck-It Ralph, and yearn for a sequel. The complaints are ones which I have heard others level at it, and I can see where they're coming from.

Ok, I've just realised I saw the teaser and not the actual trailer. The teaser was bad, the trailer was better. I also like the CGI-mimicking-Stop Motion thing they've got going on.

Yeah, the animation had me completely fooled, I thought it was just very heavily edited. I made a mistake in my first post in this topic and now I feel like such an idiot. ^^

Feels like a made-for-TV movie in the same sense of that mexican Top Cat movie and Equestria Girls. Totally OK seeing it being aired on CN, but as a theatrical release, it falls extremely flat. I bet the MoMA/Tate Modern crowd will cheer in joy for this and he rest of us just utter a "meh!" around it.

This movie has Morgan Freeman in it. Your opinion is automatically invalidated.
