A tale of an unlikely friendship about two imprisoned souls whose only hope of escape is to fight together.

What Is The Girl and the Robot?

A girl trapped in a lifeless castle built upon ancient arcane technology, and ruled by an evil queen. One fateful day, she escapes her prison cell and encounters a malfunctioning robot knight that she decides to free. They must work together to unravel the mystery of the castle in time to escape with their lives.

The Girl and the Robot is a third person action/adventure game for PC, Mac and Linux set in a fairy tale world.

The game brings the thrills of classic games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Ico, and pairs them with the sense of wonder and adventure found in animated movies such as those from Studio Ghibli.

Seem like a really interesting game, the Art style really reminds me of Skyward Sword

Even though we have four days left to back this, I would really like to see this reach the Wii U stretch goal and I'm gonna say this right now, the concept art is the cutest thing ever

So what your opinion on this game?

Seems pretty interesting, though I won't be able to fund it though since I have no money on my card (and won't be putting any on for a while at that) but I do hope this gets funded atleast to the wii u goal.

I get a "Castle in the Sky" vibe from this, at least that one scene where Sheeta revives the ancient robot and it goes on a rampage to save her from her prison under Muska.

It's got some really nice animations here and there, but those cut scenes were awful/janky and bland as all fuck.

Really, REALLY love the Girl's run animation though, and it seems like it's ok when you're in 3rd person view of the robot, just in cutscenes he looks awful and scripted as hell, the combat seems pretty clunky and hit or miss too.

Shame, really like the visuals in this, wish the robot was more uniquely designed too, he looks too similar to the other lackey robots, unlike that badass the Queen summons in the cutscene.

If it makes it to Wii U, I'll pick it up for sure if the price is alright, I just hope the quality improves till then.

Lopid, huh? Just what I needed! Thank you, Canada!

The game reached it's Wii U stretch goal, by the way. It looks pretty cool. I might get it.
