Sonic Lost World Version 3.0.0 Update coming around December 11th

I can only wonder what else could be in the update, especially with it being dubbed 3.0.0. This glitch, definitely needs to be fixed though.

Erm... why would this update be named 3.0 if it were just bug fixes?

What version is Lost World currently on? I would imagine it's 2.0.something if this is correct?

That's what I'm wondering. DLC perhaps?

Yeah I believe it's 2.0 at the moment.

A cutscene viewer would be nice, if nothing else.

A bit surprised SEGA is release a patch to fix some things.

This so much. Please, SEGA, give us a cutscene viewer! Strange as to why it's missing in this game, but was in the previous games.

This, definitely. I'd really hope they could incorporate more save files you can use too.... if that's possible with a patch that is.

Seriously, I can't stand the idea of being forced to delete everything I've done in the game when just wanting to do another blank playthrough from start. Especially when I've already unlocked/collected a crapton of stuff on that single file, I don't wanna do all that over again. I just wanna play through the story and watch the cutscenes again as I play... :/

I have to give Dimps some credit here actually, cause they've done something that a lot of other developers (including Sonic Team) should do- they give you the option to either delete all of your data, or just your story data. Not sure which games of theirs in applies to, but it's definitely a feature in SRA and Colours DS. You get to play the story again, but everything you've unlocked will stay unlocked.

While it is inconvenient, you can playthrough the story again by just making a seperate Wii U profile dedicated to such an activity.  There's bound to be other games limited like this after all.

I'd be thrilled if they added a cutscene viewer, but I'm not getting my hopes up as there's nothing to suggest that they'd do so. Still, I'm happy to see post-release support and maintenance in any case.

I would assume they just intend to fix any prominent glitches.  New features seem unlikely precisely because the game didn't do very well.

Like FFWF said I doubt they are adding anything, probably fixing that glitch aswell as any others they have found, at a push they might "fix" or add the 100 rings = 1 life, considering that was a big criticism

I just remembered, they might fix the mysterious final reward for beating all the Omochao missions since from what I understand it still just shows you a blank screen.

Something's supposed to happen when you clear all the missions? I only ask because I haven't bothered clearing any of them since I collected all the Red Star Rings (and sadly have very little motivation to play the game very much now because of that).

One thing that might be nice to see in the update would be Classic Controller support in single player mode. New Super Mario Bros. U did it with one update (well, with the "Pro Controller" for the Wii-U, not the Classic Controller that connects to the Wii Remote), it'd be nice to have the additional options in this game. But then, I understand that it'd be damn near impossible since some of the Wisps are specifically designed to work with the touch screen/Gamepad, and so, can't be altered as a result of that.

Oh well. Other than fixing any odd glitches (the Casino level glitches comes to mind, like the video in the OP and a similar one that causes the screen to fill with light and suddenly black out in the second pinball table), I guess we can't expect much more content-wise or anything.

Hmm, just thinking if they could actually release a patch to "fix" or add other control methods for the wisps? Don't Nintendo want devs to use the gamepad and unless there is something using it they won't allow it? Maybe the plan was to do that and then get alternative play styles under the radar with patches?

A man can dream

I'm fairly certain they're not going to overhaul the game's mechanics that much. At best we'll get some glitch fixes and (if we're very lucky) a couple of additional features like a cutscene viewer that should have been there in the first place. The GamePad is far too integral to the Wisps, as broken as they are, for them to change it up now.

I dunno , they already have some alternate control methods for some wisps I could see them adding more (say maybe have A register as a touchscreen touch) and then adding pro controller support, of course I have no idea how easy that would be to code so I'm probably talking bollocks.

Of curse the alternate controls would work with the Gamepad aswell

How does the Pro Controller work in multiplayer? Do Wisps appear there?

My wishlist:

- Cutscene Viewer

- Sound Test

- 100 Rings = 1UP

- Fix the all mission reward, but this is almost certain

Just for making the game feel more complete.

From what I've played, the Wisps aren't there at all. The only difference with the control scheme is that (for some reason?) the spindash and run button aren't on the triggers (RZ & LZ) anymore, but the shoulder-buttons (R & L).

A cutscene viewer needs to happen. Seriously Sega, why didn't you include one in the first place when nearly every 3D Sonic game before had a cutscene viewer?
