ARK is an open world dinosaur survival game, basically think 7 days to die or... any other open world zombie survival game, only you have dinosaurs.

You begin the game more or less naked on an island, you have to hunt, craft and survive as you do in other games, however the USP for this one is that you can tame dinosaurs. One you've tame a dinosaur, you can ride it, including the Pterodactyl, so you can also fly the dinosaurs and yes even swim with them.

60 different creatures include, T-Rex, Pterodactyl, Raaptor, Giant Scorpions (as in 6ft high), Giant Crocodiles (as in, they could eat your house), Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Dragons! Because Dragons Vs Dinosaurs is awesome!!!

Now this isn't just a single player game, it's also multiplayer, so yes, you and your friends can all ride on the back of a T-Rex as you storm an enemy base, or you can form your own Pterodactyl air squadron

Game is coming to PS4, X1 and PC, PC goes early access June 2nd.

This game really impressed me with how beautiful it looks. But hey, I should come to expect that when it's powered by Unreal Engine 4. Part of me wonders what's up with the titular island, though. Why are dinosaurs and other extinct species once again walking amongst the Earth? What secrets does it hold? And where the heck did that dragon come from?!

We're all Christ Pratt? What?!

...I'm not complaining. In fact, I'm much more excited after you put it that way.

Just days after Studio Wildcard announced that it’s bringing prehistoric survival game Ark: Survival Evolved to mobile devices comes new of another port: Ark is bound for Nintendo Switch too.

Studio Wildcard announced the Switch port, which is being co-developed with Abstraction Games, at today’s State of Unreal presentation at the annual Game Developers Conference. Ark: Survival Evolved will come to Switch sometime during fall 2018.

The developer said the Switch version of Ark: Survival Evolved will include “the complete contents and features of the original game; from the massive and mysterious ARK island, to the more than 100 prehistoric- and fantasy-inspired creatures such as the T-Rex, Giganotosaurus, Rock Drake and Reaper.”

Here’s a quick peek at Ark: Survival Evolved running on Switch from today’s presentation:

“The Switch’s handheld mode provides a fantastic new capability for survivors who want to fully immerse themselves in the vast worlds of ARK,” said Studio Wildcard’s Jeremy Stieglitz, co-director on Ark: Survival Evolve. “With this new version, Switch players can go directly from hunting and taming while sitting on the couch, to forming online tribes and searching out new conquests when on the bus, waiting in line, or wherever they happen to be.”

It'll be quite a boon, being able to play that one on the go.
