Unlike the console specific threads, this thread is for us to talk about what games we hope are shown, including exclusives, multi-platform games and the like. All consoles & PC stuff can be discussed here.

-Waits for the fifty posts all screaming for Half Life 3-

I'll start off with this.

-A new full release Mega Man classic title

(My personal wishlist for that btw)

I was wondering what I'd like to see if a new 2D Classic Mega Man game ever came. I thought I'd tell you guys my ideas, as a more recent Mega Man fan who only got into the games with Mega Man 1, 2, 9, and Maverick Hunter X.

1. Brand New Modern Art style.

This is absolutely vital now. We're in a new console generation, and we're half way through 2015. We've had some fucking amazing platformers with amazing art styles, and I'm sorry to say that these 8-Bit art styles just reek of laziness. It was fine with Mega Man 9 because that was completely based around being a 8-Bit revival for old fans. But Mega Man 10 was more or less the exact same thing, and 5 years later, ''classic 8-Bit'' art styles are the norm for a lot of platformers and it's honestly feeling lazy. If a new Mega Man game were to go 8-Bit again, it'll look lazy and generic among a pool of other 8-Bit themed games.

Which is why I think a new art style that's modern would be best. By having a new art style that doesn't look so old, it might just convince new players to jump on board because the new art is so good, and it looks like a unique platformer rather than generic 8-Bit throwback. As I previously said, a style similar to Rayman Legends could work quite well for Mega Man, or maybe even a heavily improved HD style among the lines of Maverick Hunter X.

2. Same Structure: Expanded

What I mean by this is keeping the regular Mega Man structure: I.E, being able to go to various bosses at any time, boss orders etc, but expand that out massively. Have more bosses. 8 bosses? How about 16 bosses? On top of that, include unlockables and bonuses, and things to make the player want to actually explore these levels. For example, have upgradable armor like the X series has along with health and ammo upgrades, but also have a lot of extra stuff. Which brings me to my next point.

3. References and Fan Service

While it's important to get younger players and new fans who might not know who Mega Man is into the series, it's also important to give the old fans things that can make these excited and happy to be a fan of the series for so long. For example, including unlockable costumes from other Mega Man Universes such as X, Mega Man.EXE, Mega Man Zero, and even costumes for other characters like Roll could have a Roll.EXE costume for example.

There could also be a ton of hidden characters, references, and more placed in for older fans of the series.

4. Other Playable Characters (AND NOT AS DLC CAPCOM!)

For people who missed out on it, there was a remake of the original Mega Man game on PSP named Mega Man Powered Up. It was a great game which is sadly underrated. One of the best features included was the fact that they had a ton of playable characters, including all 8 of the robot masters in the game, along with Roll, and Proto Man. This is a concept that needs to be returned, and now as fucking DLC (Looking at Mega Man 9 & 10 >.>)

Possible Playable characters could include Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass, Roll, the Robot Masters, along with some fun ones, like maybe having Mega Man X being a separate unlockable chaarcter with his own set of powers, and abilities such as a more powerful charge shot and wall jumping.

5. Difficulty Settings

We have to keep in mind that if a new Mega Man game was to be announced, new fans would need to be interested as well as old fans. Older fans will have experience with the Mega Man difficulty of trial and error but new fans won't have this. Which is why I'd suggest having a easy, normal, hard, and very hard settings for the game. Easy being used for beginners who want to get to grips with the controls and playstyle, while the other difficulty modes ramp up the challenge considerably.

6.Actual Story, and Actual Character Personalities

Again, another thing from Mega Man Powered Up was it gave each of the characters a personality, a story, and fun character interactions before a robot master battle started. What I want to see is this to be expanded out big time. I'd also recommend Ian Flynn for the job because as people who have read the Mega Man comics will know, he really does get these characters best. For example, Wily isn't totally evil, he isn't some evil maniac. As shown in Worlds Collide, he doesn't even want Dr. Light to be killed, really all he wants is his time to shine, and to humble Light. Wily isn't irredeemable.

7. Robot Master Museum

The idea behind this is it would double as a recap of the Mega Man history. We'd get to see full 3D models of all the robot masters, and all the Mega Man characters, along with character bios, history etc. There would also be a game recap, and even a few playable demos from other Mega Man games, with the ability to unlock the original Mega Man and the original Mega Man X games.

8. Extras

What I mean is some really cool extras in the game. Not stupid stuff like credits but actual cool stuff. Things I'd recommend is character sketches, the G4 Icons episode of Mega Man, and maybe an issue or two of the Archie Mega Man series.

9. Additional Play modes (AGAIN, NOT DLC CAPCOM)

This is another thing that Capcom abused heavily in Mega Man 9 & 10, cutting out game modes that quite clearly should have been in the game from the start, and selling them off as DLC. These including Hard Mode, Boss Rush, and other such things. Additional Play modes should include things like a multiplayer battle arena where 2 players can go head to head against each other as a character of their choice. Another one should be a full on boss rush mode, and more.

So yeah. There's 9 things I'd think would make a great Mega Man game.

SSB4 DLC - We know its coming, I just hope it delivers. Expecting new stages, new music, and possibly a new character reveal. Returning Veteran reveals are also acceptable.

Retro Game - If the next game they're making is another DK game, I hope it's a 3D platformer.

Paper Mario Wii U - It MUST be like TTYD's RPG system and exploration. If this gets announced, it might be enough of a push for me to get a Wii U.

New Sonic Game - I basically want a Sonic Adventure 3. Refined Sonic gameplay, immersive levels, multiple playable characters, a decent story, no Colors/LW humor. Generations 2 would also be acceptable.

Pokken Tournament - An Western release date would be neat. As for Pokemon reveals, I guess I'll be rooting for Poliwrath, Mewtwo, and Hawlucha. I'm already expecting some new stages based on certain areas of the Pokemon games. No matter what location they choose, the HD treatment will be glorious.

Dragon Quest VII and VIII 3DS localization announcements. The former could be a pipe dream, but the latter has a slim chance!

Kingdom Hearts 3 - All I ask for is some Pixar representation. And for the gameplay to not be like BBS, especially the bosses.

For Kingdom Hearts 3, I think the last gameplay footage at E3 '13 basically confirmed it'll be the KH 1 & 2 gameplay refined.

As for a new Sonic game, I want them to just get brand new writers, because the current ones are awful

Oh I know KH3 will play like KH1 and KH2, it's just the boss design in BBS really irks me. That game has probably the worst bosses I've played in the KH series so far (Only played 1, 2, and BBS).

Also chalk me in for that Capcom All Stars game. and some Dissidia footage. and Sonic in Project X Zone 2. and the Steam port of Tales of Zestiria. and Star Fox.

Damn there's a lot I missed.

More news on Kingdom Hearts 3, Ratchet & Clank and especially Next Level Games and Retro's new projects would be wonderful. Crossing my fingers for dat Metroid reveal~ ><

Oh, and some new DLC for Smash Bros would be nice. Pretty sure we'll get a new character confirmed too (probably Ryu).

My wishlist for this year: no more fucking bullshots. No more teasers, no more purely cinematic trailers, no more of this dummied up, falsified bullshit that's been plauging E3 for years now. If you can't sell your game on fucking gameplay than you're completely useless to me. As long as that happens I'm honestly fine with whatever the hell we get.

But yeah, some Smash and Metroid news would be nice. If they have a surprise Sonic reaveal coming, even better. I already know we're getting Starfox.

For the sake of discussion I'll keep expectations on the semi-realistic end, but just to get ridiculous fantasies out of the way: Ape Escape 4, Power Stone 3, F-Zero Wii U, Silent Hills is uncancelled, and Crash and Spyro return from the grave.  Now then, moving on.

Sony:

Having bought a PS4 earlier this year specifically for Bloodborne, I have been very happy with it, especially with the free PS Plus games.  But aside from Bloodborne, it doesn't have much in the way of killer exclusives, in my opinion.  So I'm hoping just for some more cool exclusives.  Not many specifics since the franchises I'm interested in either have confirmed upcoming games (Uncharted, R&C) or are pretty much dormant (Ape Escape).  I'd just like some nice surprises to further assure that the PS4 was a good purchase.

Microsoft:

The only one of the big three who's newest console I do not own (and have no plans of getting), so I can't say there's much on my mind for this one.  Really would just like to see more of Scalebound and maybe see what Rare's cookin', since Killer Instinct did pretty well.  And hopefully Halo 5 looks better than 4, which I found pretty dull.

Nintendo:

Definitely hoping for some Smash DLC, be it stages or characters.  If it's stages, I'm really yearning for a new Metroid stage that isn't from Other M, my main choice being Phendrana Drifts.  And yes, like many, I'm always hoping for them to drop the Metroid bomb on us, so let's all keep our fingers crossed.  We know the series isn't dead due to Nintendo themselves telling us, so now it's anyone's guess as to when it shows up.

Aside from that, I hope Star Fox U looks good, and I'm interested to see that rumored Paper Mario Wii U game, assuming it's closer to the first two games in terms of creativity and....not being garbage like Sticker Star.

Ubisoft:

I'm really not interested in any Ubisoft franchise except Rayman.  I really still want to see a proper 3D sequel to Rayman 3, with a big world full of personality, cool art design, and fun gameplay mechanics.  Other than that, they can do whatever, because I don't really care.  Bring on Assassin's Creed 47 I guess.

Bethesda:

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T FUCK UP DOOM

My only three wishes is to see if Sony shows off The Last Guardian, more Smash DLC news and if Square will show a bit more of Kingdom Hearts III. The other stuff I'm hoping for is probably going to be there in some form. Anything else like a new Mega Man title looking GOOD...AND releasing would be considered a miracle. .....and to be fair, so is The Last Guardian. >>;

Eh.

Nintendo -

New DK game with K. Rool (likely Diddy Kong Racing if anything)

Diddy Kong Racing 2 (overlaps with #1)

New Golden Sun (possible; dunno what Camelot is up to, but they can't do HD games and already did Mario Golf/Tennis for 3DS)

New Nintendo Newcomer Smash Bros. DLC (anything but just veterans and Ryu, preferably a preliminary ballot character announcement)

New Warriors Crossover Spinoff with Koei

SOME Zelda Wii U News (anything, really)

Namco -

Tales of Zestiria Trailer

Soul Calibur VI

Square Enix -

New Lufia Game (unrealistic I know)

New Chrono Game (I'm not THAT invested in the Chrono games, but I just beat Chrono Cross so I'm intrigued by continuation)

New Main Series Mana Game

Star Ocean Info

KH3 Trailer

I don't have much I wanna see at E3 to be honest and I'd rather much be surprised than anything.

I would love to see Darkstalkers 4 happen so bad but its been shot down too many times but I won't give up hope on that. I do wanna see another main series Pokemon game, well pokemon in general. We're most likely going to get Pokken news or some spin off at least. Oh definitely Fire Emblem IF news is something I'd love to see but at this point it would be news we already know since its getting to its release date.

There isn't much I'm expecting but hey I'd rather leave the news to the devs to throw at us. I'm just being wishful with my gaming niche.

Mirrors Edge is all I really give a damn about honestly. And probably Zelda, and I guess, surprise announcements would be especially welcome.

Personally for me, its these:

  • Smash / MK8 DLC
  • Something utilizing Nintendo's underused IPs ( Metroid and F-Zero, among others. )
  • Paper Mario Wii U
  • Something else exclusive to New3DS, maybe? Y'know, we've only one game needing this better system so far...

Otherwise, I'm cool with most everything else. Except MAYBE some more Mario and Pokemon. I love both Series, but I really think they've been pushing it way too much.

My list is fairly brief.

Sony:

Some more info on the Sly Cooper film... and hopefully any news on if there's a new game associated with it... oh. And if they'll be delaying it to 2017. That would be nice to know well in advance.

Some footage of Ratchet's 2016 title would be rad.

SEGA:

Some sort of teaser for the next Sonic title, whether it's this year or next year. Think the Werehog ring teaser for Unleashed.

SEGA has a pretty good Comic Con presence usually so I imagine they'll save film news for SDCC.

Hm, this is just stuff that I would absolutely LOVE to happen though I know it probably won't.

Nintendo:

- KIRBY AIR RIDE 2 for the love of god please! I've been at this for about 8 years now. PLEASE

- Kid Icarus Uprising remake for the Wii U that uses both analog sticks.

- Kid Icarus 2

- Kid Icarus Amiibo line

- MK8 DLC with Kirby or Kid Icarus characters

- News on how the hell NoA is going to fix this Amiibo situation

- New 3D Mario game that tries to improve upon Galaxy

- New Mario Strikers game

- No new Animal Crossing... yeah I said it :P

(if I get even ONE of these I'll be happy tho XD)

Sony-

- God of War 4 (this may actually be pretty likely actually)

- New Spyro game (besides fucking skylanders)

- New Crash game

Others:

- Portal 3

Don't really have one for Microsoft since they're already making Halo 5. Since Halo is really the only thing I care for from them... yeah.

My wishlist...I'll list them in no particular order. Some are pipe dreams, but hey, I can dream, right?

-An actual American release of a new Puyo Puyo game

-A new Sonic game

-A new Mega Man game. Preferrably Mega Man X9

-Banjo-Threeie

-Star Fox Wii U

-Ape Escape 4

-Wario Land 5

-Donkey Kong Country game

-Ratchet & Clank 2016

-Rayman

-News on the new Rhythm Heaven game

-new WarioWare game

-Amiiibo news

-Darkwing Duck Remastered

-Kingdom Hearts III news

Aaaand that's it.

- Wario Land 5: Design is like 3, but with new levels, attacks and effects. (Won't happen)

- Rayman 4: New 3D platformer. (Won't happen)

- Banjo-Threeie: True follow-up to Kazooie and Tooie. I'd love for the levels to all be connected like in Tooie. (Good chance at happening)

- Zelda U: By "Won't show at E3", they literally meant E3 and not their Digital Event, which is technically before E3. ( ...Maaaaaybe?)

- Complete MGS HD Collection for at least PS4: Includes Twin Snakes, Substance, Subsistence, Guns of the Patriots, Portable Ops and Peace Walker. Guns of the Patriots could have a cut scene viewer added to it and Peace Walker could rebalance it's bosses for single player so they're not a complete drag. (Won't happen)

- Nintendo to start releasing Amiibo content as cheap DLC after a certain period of time. (Won't happen)

That's all I can think of right now.

Currently, I'm still so hyped about Xenoblade Chronicles X, and just want a release window and some dub info, that everything else is icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned.

I do want to hear more about Kingdom Hearts III; it's been a long while, with little to nothing about it, some new info and a look at the gameplay would be great.

I'd also like to hear some follow-up news for Smash DLC. It's cool they're finding ways to keep the hype train going, so I would be very interested in seeing what else they plan to add.

Maybe a teaser for Sonic's 25th anniversary, with more solid info coming in the Fall. I'm really not pulling my hair out for a new Sonic game this year, and I know SEGA cares more about the next five year mark at this point, so just learning they have something planned is good enough. And hopefully they haven't given up on the Wii U entirely (the new Mario and Sonic is a start, but I don't want that to be the console's last word on Sonic), I'll take some Virtual Console support and assurance that the Wii U isn't getting left out in the cold for the 25th anniversary.

Speaking of Virtual Console, can NoA finally throw us some damned bones with digital Wii games? We've heard nothing since... January? Other territories are currently still on schedule, so unless they've been busy securing rights for some games that weren't published by Nintendo in America (Pandora's Tower comes to mind), I'm hoping for an expansion of that catalog soon.

As for unknown/unlikely/wildcard type of things... a new Mario RPG for the Wii U would be great, as would Square-Enix remembering Chrono Trigger/Cross exist (AHAHAHA *sobbing*), and the big thing I was thinking about, an expansion for Hyrule Warriors with another quest and some new characters. I think it's a shame they kinda just petered out with support for the game; I guess there's not a ton more they can really do besides some more fanservice, but I think it'd be great to see another campaign added and breathe some new life into the game.

...That's a lot of icing, not gonna lie.

The biggest thing I'm hoping to see in E3 is more info on the next Mass Effect and Fallout 4. I know Fallout 4 is there, so I hope to be pleasantly surprised by what I see, but I'm really iffy on Bethesda's Fallout.
