ARTWORK: Rucdose and the hope that this Topic doesn't die

Hello! If you've been on SSMB at least once for the last month or so, then you might know me. My username is Rucdose, and lately I've been doing stuff like the How to Play with SSMB's for Game Night and the like. But anyway, I also draw sometimes. I already had a thread for art and such, but that was in the Miscellaneous Works and has some hideously outdated art, so I'm gonna start fresh with this new topic!

So, I suppose this is where some art goes!

Quickies:

The Squid Sisters, from the game Splatoon! As you can no doubt tell, I spent a lot more time on Marie then I did Callie (I swear it's not favouritism), but that's probably because while I was drawing Marie, I wanted to try some things and they were kinda successful, I guess!

 

Lucas and Ness, from Mother 3 and Mother 2/Earthbound respectively! This was just a quick one after playing some Smash and realizing that Ness's head from his intro animation is pretty fuckin' weird, man! That and since it's Summer, I see this as what would happen if you got a really, really, REALLY bad Sun-burn.

Update time!

 

Malachite from Steven Universe! This was a test on illumination in certain areas and to see what I can do. I think it looks alright, I shoulda probably put a bit more detail into the hair and such but eh. I also made it biggish so that you could use it as a desktop wallpaper, if you want (you wouldn't know it's 1600 x 900 thanks to the new board's image restrictions but anywayyyy)

This was originally gonna be used in the announcement video for How to Play with SSMB 202 back in the version with a "jumpscare" of sorts of a demonic looking version of my avatar alongside the scream of that jumpscare being that scream from that one porno where the man is like completely yelling like he's being boiled alive or some shit, i don't have the exact clip of it but here's a somewhat decent thing of it anyway

Meta Knight's there because this video was originally gonna air on Felix's Movie Night stream and Felix's avatar is Meta Knight and such and I was gonna have him and me argue over the jumpscare being there in robotic voices yadayadayadayada

Here's Amethyst, surprise. Really liked the moment she got in the extended theme song, so I decided to try and re-create that last bit as a test for my new art-making program, Paint Tool SAI especially considering that the extended theme probably won't be out for a good while now.

Hey ho. So, “why haven’t you been making more content, Rucdose?” Well, let me tell you why: I’m on a ART hiatus.

So, yeah. Let’s just say that the last few weeks haven’t exactly been the best in terms of my life at the moment, and that I don’t exactly wanna come from this last month of pure utter shit straight back to making dumb pictures of possessed furry robots and magical alien rocks from space. That and I’ve been meaning to go on this hiatus for a while, because I need a break. So, this hiatus is gonna be good for me to reorganize, work on some other projects that I’m passionate about (which I’ll talk more on in a second) and to practice my art as hard as I can, because I want to get better as a artist, better at drawing specific things and hopefully, to develop some sort of art style that’s unique to me.

In summary, don’t expect any more art off me for like, two months. Or maybe 3 months due to Christmas and junk. I dunno. I know, I suck.

Now, you're not completely gonna be drained on Rucdose's material. Remember that I have a YT Channel, and I make Alpharad-inspired (the nicer word for ripped-off) How to Plays based off SSMB Game Night tourneys and games I wanna make HTPs of. At the moment, I’m working on a Five Nights at Freddy’s HTP, a sequel to the Smash Bros HTP and some Rare (the company) HTPs to celebrate their 30 year anniversary.

So yeah! So you’re not getting furry bear art, but you’re getting rip-off videos of a far more successful YT channel featuring Furry bears. Better, right? I thought so. Now, eventually, if you’re not a fan of HTP videos then you’ll be somewhat pleased to know that I’m currently teaching myself Source Filmmaker. Now, when I eventually make some animations with it, I’ll make sure that I’m not making shit like “Freddy and Foxy: The Parents 63” or the other crap that gets millions of views on YT at the moment. If I’m making a video, I’m gonna make sure it’s something I WANT to do other then something I could do to gain more views. Now, I have a idea in my head about making a employee training tape for Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, so eventually I’m gonna try to develop that and make something out of it. So even if I think it’s gonna get like 10 views, I’m gonna put my heart and soul in that.

Okay, so in review for the few of you who don’t wanna read through all that.
- Art’s on Hiatus for a good while so I can get better
- I’ll be working on videos over at my personal YT channel so you’re not completely drained of Ruccy’s content
- Teaching myself SFM so expect something to come out of that, I guess

That’s pretty much it, but one last thing I wanna add here.

I want to thank each and everyone of you who’ve liked my art, my videos or even if you took the time out of your day to read this. Without people like you, I wouldn’t of been able to make a identity for myself or my art and share more and more of my works with you all, and your support and understanding is what I love about you guys. Things may get a bit rough sometimes for me, but I know that I can trust on people from websites like Tumblr, Deviantart, SSMB, 4chan’s /5n@F/ general and other sites to make me feel much, much better thanks to the kindness you’ve shared with me over the last few months, weeks or even days.

I love you all and I promise when I get back from this hiatus, it’s gonna be worth the wait. <3

So, remember when I said I was teaching myself SFM? Well, time to finally have something to show for it!

Introducing the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Employee Instructional Tape! (or, FFPEIT for short). If you were in Felix's stream yesterday, you got a short glimpse of this (alongside connection problems), but today I can present the full trailer for it!

 You can expect the full thing to be 5-6 minutes long and for it to maybe come out before the end of the year/early 2016. So yeah! Hope you enjoy the teaser and the full thing will be out hopefully soon-ish!

I’d also like to say that from now on, you’re getting two videos a week from me, with my main video of that week going up on every wednesday and a short SFM animation going up on every friday!

Tiiiime for a update post, because that's something we do here right?

So, first up: MEW Battletoads came out on Wednesday and I forgot to say anything about that. So here's your link to that, because we can't have more then one YT video at a time on these posts.

Next, Freddy's Friendship Toreador, a small little SFM animation I made after making 3 minutes of really poor animation for the now on hold Instructional Tape is out and you can watch that below:

 Finally, I've been making SFM renders lately for Tumblr and Deviantart and the like, so here's a link to my Tumblr blog so you can scroll down and see all of them, because we can't post more then one image anymore and having a spoiler tag with just one image in it would be pretty sad.
