For the people keeping tabs the 10” Metal Sonic figures some more have hit e-bay. UK people looking to import should be happier as a few have popped up at a more reasonable price, including this one.

It might still be an idea to wait as when more Toys R Us stores get them in the more they’re likely to flood e-bay but eager to get one sooner rather than later I’ve got one bought today. However if Jix can still get hold of some would people still be interested. Depending on the packaging I might want a boxed one to keep as from looks alone it’s my favourite ever Sonic figure.

I checked again today, nothing yet... still a good excuse to go out and grab a slice of pizza for lunch.

I still think its early, its exactly what happened with the Werehog figure, in a months time eBay will have stacks, just look at the Comic con exclusive Metal Sonic, plenty on eBay and they're a limited series of .. 3,500?
But if you're in a hurry its all good, the figure looks great and I'll definitely be picking one up.
I'll keep checking back here if anyone is still interested :)

On a different note (I assume that I can write this here, as the discussion seems to be more about sonic "figurines" in general rather than just the SDCC chibi Sonic)

Am I to understand that the 3" Knuckles figure can only be purchased with that 200th issue comic and stupid translucent-Sonic pack?
Because I've got that from eBay, but I'd really like to keep it all in the packet as like a collectable, but I'd really like a Knuckles 3 inch that I can display too. As of yet I havent seen any just by themselves, does anyone know if they are making these like that?

I would guess that eventually you will be able to buy Knuckles separate. They just want to milk as many sales as then can from the comic two pack with that crappy Sonic figure because there is no way the stupid clear figure would sell on it's own. The TRU stores near me have the two pack but not the 3.5 Sonic/Tails yet.

Yeah thats kinda what I figured, I just hope that they do release the Knuckles one seperate as he looks the best out of all of them so far!
I'd love a full set of all the Sonic cast, I hope they get around to that eventually too!

I happened by Toys R Us this afternoon and saw a few of those Metal 10 inch action figures

Here's a poor quality snapshot of the thing in the box.

Nice one :)

Guessing the packaging is 14inch high, 7inch wide and 6inch thick?

I'll check mine again tomorrow (they shut here in 20 minutes)

Mine should be winging its way to me from the US of A as we speak. I’ve no idea when it’ll actually get here but if its longer than 2 weeks I’ll be asking questions of the e-bay seller. Mine won’t be in its box long either. I wonder if it’ll look any good next to the Juvi?

I will have to see! My assumptions are they will look awesome apart, but crappy next to each other. Two different styles dipecting the same thing, it'd be odd IMO.
I'm waiting for my 12" Metal Sonic to arrive!

On a different note. Does anyone know if the comic (that comes with the special "collectors 200th issue" pack with the clear Sonic and Knuckles figures) is any diffrent from it's normal 200th issue counterpart? I got mine off eBay the other day, but am not going to open it.
Also, to anyone who hasn't seen these 3" figures in person (ie: non USA ppl, or USA ppl who haven't bothered yet) I would highly recommend them. The Knuckles from that comic pack is exquisite! It seriously looks like a 3D model render from the games!
I really hope they make the entire cast eventually like this (Though scale them properly to each other. The Tails I've read is as tall or taller than Sonic when he should be shorter), a Sonic heighted..lets say Vector, would look quite strange next to say a Sonic height Charmy, ya know?
But yeah - entire cast please! And Eggman next!

My only complaint: I wish these were available outside of Toys'R'US
Spoiler
, as we have toys'R'us here, and it's frustrating to have to pay pretty much double the cost from shipping to get them!

I’m with The-Master-Board in the Toys R Us UK hating. Though in all honesty I don’t have a clue what sort of toys they have as far as Sonic is concerned. I’m 24 so wondering around a toy shop by myself these days isn't a good idea. I’d probably be accused of being a pedo...

It has a "Special Collector's Edition" tag where the UPC would go. I think that's it.

Woah, not even the Juvi is out of stock and that thing is supposed to be limited. I don’t recall a limit on the 10” but that’s just testament to the figures popularity. I was serious when I said I think it’s the best ever Sonic figure. Hopefully Jazwares notices this and starts a new series of 10” figures with comparable quality. Robots seem to fare best as you can hide the joints. 10” Omega anyone?

Eggman's mechs if you want to go one step more. 10" Egg Walker from Sonic 2...

Though the dream would be a 10" Knuckles Metallix from STC. Yippie.

Edit:
I saw on ebay that there was a Knuckles and Werehog Juvi figures, but they've gone.

Here's hoping they produce more Metal Sonics! Everybody should own one. My dream figure: 10 inch Egg Mobile with Eggman inside.

@Doctor Eggman: Nice idea for a figure! If Jazwares did something like that it would be awesome. They seem to have a great eye for sculpts and detail.

I've got one of the large Metal Sonics on its way to me now. It does make you wonder why Jazwares chose to make this a USA exclusive thing knowing how popular this range of figures would be given the SEGA fanbase following in Europe (especially the UK) is just as big as in the US. I'm essentially getting my figure for £15, about what it would cost to buy here if it were to come out, but I remain puzzled as to who made the decision to not release the figures anywhere else... I suppose we do have Impact Innovations and Sega Prize things exclusive so it isn't entirely one sided, but the new figures are awesome and I'm jealous.

Just a note for anyone that has opened Metal Sonic: How do his hip joints fare? He seems quite top heavy with spindly joints and I fear if I get a second figure to put on display he may break easily. The Werehog had this problem and I'd just like to be aware of if this figure has the same issues. Thanks!
