Funny that the Toys R' Us site still has not listed the 2 inch modern figurine set... yet.

The only place I've seen them available is at Target :/

Last time I checked a Target store last week, there were NO Sonic swag whatsoever, but that is just one Target store though.

Spent most of yesterday fixing Jazwares non-painted figures. Its actually a lot harder than I was expecting, painting in all the little gaps and stuff while trying not to paint where you don't want it >_<
The end result though satisfies me and I can finally deem them worthy of display.

Just pretend my hand isn't there......Eggrobo is flying! and shooting you in the face with LASERs!!

And Eggpawn! While the Eggrobo needed a lot of work this guy just needed a bit of paint, but it's surprising how better a few little added details can make it look! This has many fiddly little bits to paint though so it probably took about as long as the Eggrobo even though there was more to paint on the Eggrobo.
Even did the Eggpawn's feet too!
Sealed the paint all off with clear nail polish to hopefully protect the paint from ever coming off. Makes the colours of the paint stand out more and gives it a good glossy shine too. Just have to wait to get some red paint so I can do Eggrobos jetpack and they should be done (or in other words should be like how they should've arrived in package by Jazwares! Posted Image )

Oi! Nice paint jobs! Have you done any customizing before? So many possibilities once you get into it!

Thanks!
I've never done any customising before, these were my first. I'm ok at painting but sculpting things I think I'd be pretty poor at or at least I'm very self critical so I'd probably never feel like it was good enough.
Preferrably I'd want Jazwares official figures but if they are never gonna make characters like my favourite; Nack the Weasel, then I'd probably one day try to custom one......or pay someone a lot better than me to do it!
Next project if I get around to it will be to change the Babylon Rogues boards to their better Sonic Riders 1 versions, but I have no idea how to go about that. The only reason I painted these two was cuz inaccuracy bugs me so much and they really needed the paintjob before I could deem them worthy of .... me having bought them I guess.

Conceptual pics from ToyWiz. You have to actually go onto the product pages to view them. Most of them are stock art of the characters and accessories plastered together, but you can see the new Espio and Vector, and Sonic.

I'm glad they replaced Espio's right hand on this new model, so he still has his other one in nice pose. Sonic looks a bit daft though. The rest of the pics are either the old figures or stock art of the characters and accessories. They've also removed their listing for Shadow and Rouge, unfortunately. They had some random shipping fan art as the product picture for ages, but now it's gone entirely.

Aww.
I always get SO excited when I see this topic update. I keep thinking finally Jazwares give us some news, but no.
Was hoping they'd adjust Vector's height. Recently I discovered he's way taller than his figure depicts I mean Espio stands it seems taller than him and Espio is supposed to be 110cm tall and Vector is supposed to be 180cm making his height almost the same as the Eggman figure. I guess Vector can get away with it cuz of his bulkiness and arm length he still seems big, but woulda liked them to have made him more accurate.
A boom box would've been cooler to give Vector, lets hope that walkie talkie gets coloured (looks at Jazwares poor effort on the badniks line and hopes for the best) Espio's ninja weapon is pretty cool but Sonic's rings look utterly stupid. If they're gonna be that size theres no way I'm buying that! They're like the Master emerald compared to a Chaos Emerald, they're..they're Master rings! :\

I'm starting to think if this whole line is true that I'll probably only bother with the Chaotix pack, Amy if her hammer is good and Shadow if his gun is good....maybe Silver too if the "box" he comes with actually has something like the G.U.N logo on it or something and isn't just a box.
I have strong doubts any of the other figures will come with accessories that are fitting in scale with the rest of the 3inch line or will look any good.

Aaaaaand I just got bummed out cuz I realised that if Toywiz still don't have even a rough idea of what Charmy looks like yet that means Jazwares hasn't released any prototype figures to the toy companies even yet, which means our chances of seeing them soon are nought.
2013, 2014 release anyone? Posted Image

Um, what? All these new figures are due for release in August and September. Jazwares will have been the ones to provide the pictures, both the prototypes you see above and the mock-ups. I don't really understand what you're getting your knickers in a twist over.

I just figured if Jazwares had the products ready we would've seen the actual figures in those pics from the toy websites and not mock ups.
Usually the toy news websites seem to get new Jazwares figure info first before we know about it or Jazwares ever posts it online. If the toy companies don't even have the actual product pictures then I can only assume Jazwares are once again behind schedule and we won't see those new figures meet the August estimate those websites have listed.

Nice! Awesome to have some confirmation that they'll be able to hold their accessories. Also really nice to see two of the new SatBK figures listed. It looks like Excalibur Sonic's sword will glow in the dark. Huh.

Man, between the new TMNT figures and these bad boys, I'm gonna have a LOT to buy this Fall.

They've also removed their listing for Shadow and Rouge, unfortunately. They had some random shipping fan art as the product picture for ages, but now it's gone entirely.

That's weird. They still show up for me.

Oh yeah, I see the Shadow/Rouge pack now. But it says "out of stock" instead of "pre-order". Ah well. Where are you seeing the Black Knight figures btw?

EDIT: Nevermind. I was looking in the wrong place. Excalibur Sonic and Lancelot/Shadow.

Why would Jazwares release Silver and Jet's Black Knight versions, but not Blaze's. If I ran the Sonic toyline, I would milk Blaze for every variant possible: Percival, Riders, Olympics, 64-bit, dead...

I'm guessing because they already have Silver and Jet figures to work with, maybe once standard Blaze is out they'll re-do her as her Black Knight version :) Totally agree thou, the more Blaze, the better

Actually, the new Black Knight figures are 5 inch like the first one, so they don't really have any Shadows, Knuckles', Silvers, or Jets of that scale to work with. Not sure why Percival was left out, to be honest.

It's due to the idiotic assumption that girls won't sell well. You know what really dosen't sell? Obese people. At Toy's R Us, there is an entire wall of Storm and Big.

Just a quick question, does anybody know if the eggman 20th anniversary packs have appeared in any UK toysrus shops? I'm planning to go while I'm out.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not.

The new Black Knight figures now all have placeholder images. However the Excalibur Sonic and shadow now have some very interesting extra details.

Sonic & the Black Knight 5 Inch Metallic Action Figure Excalibur Sonic with Glow-In-The-Dark Sword.

Sonic & the Black Knight 5 Inch Metallic Action Figure Sir Lancelot Shadow

So these figures are metallic? And the Sonic sword glows in the dark? Interesting.

Think that was already posted somewhere on here, yeah. The metallic part is old, but the other detail about Sonic's sword is new. I like the sound of Excalibur being glow in the dark. It's a very nice thought considering that it has a glowing aura of sorts in the game-
